So the Lucky Draw Arcee we heard about back in October of last year has finally surfaced on Ebay. It made me wonder as a Arcee collector myself is this the new Holy Grail for Arcee Fans? Is it really worth it to pay $1200 for a chromed deluxe because there were only 25 made in the world?

Transformers Prime Lucky Draw First Edition Arcee BIC Camera Japan Exclusive | eBay

I have the Winter Wonder Fest Arcee as that was my previous holy grail. I would love to own this figure as well but I just can't justify it.

So I pose the following questions:
"Are Lucky Draw Figures worth it? Do they appreciate in value over time? Is this how much this figure should be selling for on the secondary market?"

Not really looking for a bunch of "Is it worth it too you?" replies. I really want to know if this is how much this figure should be going for based on previous Lucky Draw figures in the past.

Heres the link to the original article for those who don't remember it:

    Ffs $1200?!

    EDIT:
If this is a, "only one in the entire world," thing, I might see being able to justify it. But, upon doing a quick ebay search, even the lucky draw leader primes were $350ish. Granted, there were more than just one of those. Your call mate!

No toy should be worth $1200. Not even a shiny, limited edition deluxe.

Unless it's like a five foot Fort Maximus with lights, sounds, and walking action with flip out weapons.

Too much on a single figure if you ask me. Even $400 would be too much for me. All I can think of is how many other awesome Transformers I could buy with that Money :)

Those primes aren't real lucky draws. If I was interested, I may go as high as 700 for her.

I am a huge Arcee (TFP) fan and I wouldn't even pay this much. Now if it was a Sideshow collectible that used actual metal pieces and was all put together in some Masterpiece collectible statue or something that was like dead on balls accurate to the show then maybe I'd pay that much. But for a special chrome first edition figure? No...

I personally don't give a cuss about Lucky Draw stuff, because I don't think of my toys, even the rarest or expensive ones, as collectors pieces. They're just junk I like to have in my office to look at, pose, move around, and own. I don't assess any value to them, and consider that once they've been opened and sat in my home, despite the fact I rarely keep any of them in vehicle mode once turned into robits, that they've lost all value, even in reselling them.

That said, I think matter of worth is only a question one can ask themselves. Personally, this particular fig, even though it's my fave FE by far, just doesn't merit that kinda dough spent on just due to rarity etc. If it was a MP or leader or something, maybe. BUT, I wouldn't really judge anyone about it if they did, simply put, it's just not my cup of tea. Knock yourself out though, as the saying goes.

Speaking for myself,I would say being on a limited budget this would be outrageous for a deluxe figure, but if I were uber rich like Donald Trump, dropping $1200 wouldn't even be an issue. So that is how I see it.

$1200?! By the matrix! For that kind of cash i'd expect a whole day with the real Arcee, staying the night optional!

But then wouldn't your head have to detach in order to form the head...what would your head turn into? Would you, in fact, become your own Headmaster?

Well, there's "best offer" available. I don't really like this mold very much so, even if I could afford this LD, I still wouldn't get it.

Considering the one that sold on yahoojapan yesterday was over 2k with plenty of bids, 1200 was a fair price. The luckydraw Prime stuff has been selling for really high amounts in japan.

Nah thanks, that bid price is atrociously laughable.

It looks like you're getting more of the "Is it worth it to you" replies than what you were looking for. I own a Lucky Draw but just the one so I can't say I'm an expert, though $1200 for one where there's only 25 in existence sounds about what I would think it would go for?

That said, you may want to pay attention to Malacha Ra and cobra zartan, who've responded in this thread already. Both are much more versed in Lucky Draws than I am.
