I recently posted a group pic of all the cyberverse prime decepticons in the toy feedback thread on BH Legion Soundwave. This is the groupshot :

There was a lot of interest about my Breadkdown mod, so I decided to post this semi-guide. Here is a better pic of what you can expect after the mod plus a size comparison with Cyberverse commander Bulkhead.

    Go from this :

At least Breakdown has a chance against Bulkhead now.

I did the mod quite a while back so I don't have a proper step by step tutorial. All I can do is to show you guys what I did, with these pics below :

    Time needed : < 5mins.
    Repainting : none
Parts needed : 1 Target exclusive DOTM blue Ironhide, and of course 1 cyberverse legion Breakdown.
Tools needed: Maybe some pliers (brute force is also fine). Plastic cutters. Small philips screwdriver.

Damage to Ironhide : Irreversible. (but who needs a blue ironhide anyway)
Damge to Breakdown : None - completely untouched, fully transformable still.

    Step 1.
Use pliers / brute force to remove the 2 small push pins (yellow circles indicate position) that hold the top half of Ironhide to his lower frame.
Remove the small "+" screw that holds the car's roof to the lower frame with the screwdriver. (Not shown as I discarded the part away-my apologies).
Discard top half of IH, the pins and the roof. They are not needed.

    Step 2.
Trim off some of the plastic from the resulting frame of IH's lower body. I don't know the exact amount as the bits I trimmed off are long gone. The yellow circles indicate where I trimmed.

    Step 3.
Fold up bulkheads legs backwards, and place him straight down into the frame. Some wriggling/positioning needed. I did not glue him down cos I still wanted a fully transformable Breakdown. So ya, the figure comes apart quite easily, but for display purposes....I think it looks quite good. From the many comments and PMs I received, I think most would agree too.
You could always blu-tack or hot glue him down if you wish for a more solid figure.

Done ! You now have a bulked-up Breakdown to go do battle with his nemesis Bulkhead ! This was the reason I started looking into this mod anyway. Hope this helps.

I can't believe the blue matches so well, and it's amazing that Breakdown's arms actually seem "normal" even with the leg extension.

Nicely done! Now to find a blue Ironhide...

If I can find the Ironhide needed to make this, I am so going to. :)

Thank you for giving us the text/pics to guide us along. I will finally have a Breakdown that didn't shrink in an Energon bath. lol

Well it's a darn good thing I bought a second ironhide when I did. Only problem is now I have to paint him.

Either way that is one nice fix for poor little breakdown.
