I don't like the looks of Laserback, but that image of Ripclaw looks pretty good. I might actually pick her up.

 

Damn. I just noticed. The 'tail arm' isn't her tail, but one of the legs of her beast form and the tail 'attachment.

Still a gorgeous figure no doubt, but I got a smidge less enthusiastic about her. But just a smidge.

Unexpected, but nice. I was curious to see if we would be getting any female Predacons. Colors look nice, and the sculpting looks like it's pretty good to. Should be interesting to see how the final toy looks, and who all get's packed into her wave, which I'm assuming will be BH wave 2.

I'm definitely interested in the mold, but I'm not sure if I'll get this version, or the inevitable Ser-Ket repaint. While I like the colors, and having a female Pred would be cool, I think having a Ser-Ket figure would be even cooler. Especially if I get all of the RotD issues (it's going to be...four issues long...right?). That said, a Cyberverse scaled toy would probably trump the Deluxe...for me anyways, though this might actually scale well with the Cyberverse stuff...

The head and tail remind me of Omega Supreme, also the colors. I dig it, she will good next to my Lazerback (who was better than I thought he'd be.)

What you're noting there are really superficial features. In general, (almost) all TF fembots are very thin, with pronounced "pretty" or "sexy" feminine features. It gets old, and while I disagree with asexual robots having sexually dimorphic features in general, I especially dislike the way that fembots are almost always more anthropomorphized along gender lines than "male" bots.

In the case of Glyph and Rosanna, the reason for that is that they are repaints of ungendered (or even "male") type toys. If they survived into mainstream fiction without getting "sexed up" (or even just "girled up"), I'd be mighty impressed. Call me when we get a Universe Onslaught repaint as a fembot.  

It's almost universally true. The fact that the exceptions are notable does reflect the presence of a "rule".

Fail. You are either 17-years-old (the only age where that body type might be considered "average"), or your experience with women is limited to comic books, fashion magazines and pornography.  

Actually, in most "natural" humanoid females (which in this case encompasses what... humans and I guess chimps/gorillas?), boobs tend to sag like half-empty sacks, rather than jut out like missiles, but modern undergarments tend to reduce that effect. Alien robots on the other hand have no need of hips, bras, torpedo boobs (unless they actually are functional torpedoes) or high-heels. That's one of the issues with fembots... their feminine characteristics are overly pronounced, based along modern standards of sexual attractiveness. Most "male" bots don't have to live up to the same standard. This is why people tend to applaud fembots that step outside that tedious old norm.

Well yeah. But perhaps we could use our hormones a little less in our pursuit of science-fiction entertainment, no?

Changing the topic slightly, I still don't like this toy, and I will almost certainly never buy it. The whole style of Beast-Hunters is very much not to my taste. But I do give them kudos for an unconventional fembot.

Actually according to Rage,we still have Predacons around at the same time as the Dinobots, Ripclaw may be one of them. Or another fembot that was reforged.
