Breakdown was fully developed independently and released by Takara, though, so Hasbro didn't lose anything by not trying to replace all of the Arms Micron stuff and squeeze him into a price point.

Anyway, at least he's finally here, and maybe if he does well those other Japan only figures like from Animated will get a reissue someday, too?

 

So, color me shocked. That mold was a "no go" back during Prime and it's seeing a release now. Well, that's certainly a solid for all the Prime fans that missed out on that mold.

 

Honestly i think reissues were the way to go on this one because they slot perfectly into our existing collections instead of replacing older figures. I'd definitely like a few redo's here and there but for the most part I think a lot of the Prime line holds up pretty well today. Like if they do Animated I'm more down for missing spots like blackout and wingblade Prime to get reissued before they start making mew generations versions.

Surprised it was even intended as a Voyager, given what they did to Bulkhead by scaling him down in Beast Hunters, woulda thought for sure they'd scale him down to deluxe as well to cover the cost they didn't want to spend on the voyager either.

Still think it would've sold better if they were WFC molds. But the good news that they won't have me battling through scalpers to get this crap at market price. PASS!

Nothing new thus far. Only known price so far converts to about $82 USD from the Philippines currency. Check back for the breakdown and subsequent speculation.

As far as the price goes considering that AM-12 Breakdown goes for something like 300-500 USD, and AM-16 Jet Vehicon goes for about 100 bucks, at 80 this set is a literal steal. If you really want a Breakdown you're gonna get this set lest you feel like paying multiple times that and not even get a Jet Vehicon with it.
