Do you wrap TFs that you have bought for yourself for Christmas? Would you bother putting them under the tree or even wait until Christmas itself?

I've had G2 FoC Bruticus for a few weeks that I've been keeping back as a Christmas treat for myself. Now that I've wrapped all the presents for my wife and girl, I'm finding myself wondering "What's the point in wrapping this TF"?

Of course it's fun to open presents, but it's not like it's going to be a surprise. Usually my wife get's a random TF too, so it won't be like I'm the grinch wallowing in my own gifts rofl :lol

I have purposely avoided inspecting the box, so as not to feel tempted to open it already, too keep that "shiny new toys!" feeling. So I had my 5 year old check that nothing was broken or appeared missing - she's good like that :)

I'm thinking that I'll just wait until the evening and open it up when chilling to Doctor Who, long after the frenzy of Hello Kitty for my daughter has calmed down ;)
Presents to yourself during the festive season - what do you do with them?

My wife wrapped every one of the ones I bought this month, and has been "giving" them to me every few days.

    No point, just being dorks.

It's kinda silly, but yeah I wrap 'em.
Just to make it fun on Christmas morning.
Reminds me of Mr. Bean when he mailed some greeting cards to himself and acted all surprised :lol

In past years, they were from Santa. But this year...not celebrating Christmas and all, screw it! I opened 'em already and have 'em displayed.

The only reason I can see to wrap it is for decoration. Having all the gifts under the tree wrapped (instead of one unwrapped in the middle of the others) might be more festive.

I've never wrapped up anything I bought for myself before, lol.

I guess it could add to the tree and decoration of it all, but to actually be sitting there unwrapping gifts you gave to yourself christmas morning seems to seems to defy the whole spirit of "giving", lol.

They'd stay unwrapped, but it's because I normally don't like wrapping presents since it's a waste of paper. But when gifting to others, I'd rather opt for a gift bag since that can always be reused.

U opening it with others or yourself?

Opening it yourself , it doesnt really matter.

If u got kids, gf/wife is getting u stuff, wrap it for the sake of Santa

OK the thought of buying yourself something, wrapping it up, then opening it all alone is probably the most depressing thing ever.

Don't you know it's very unChristmas like to buy yourself a present.......or at least I think I read that somewhere around here :ev:

If I had I wouldn't bother......but then I probably wouldn't have the will power to wait so it is just as well MP Soundwave is delayed!

A lot of my gifts this year I "suggested" to my parents, and by that I mean I saw them at stores and told them " This would make a good gift for me!" To which they would reply" You never saw this" or "don't tell your mother/dad." :lol

I didn't buy myself any robots this year, but in the past I've wrapped them. More specifically, my wife wrapped them and put them under the tree. We buy each other so few gifts we just wanted it to seem like there was more to unwrap come Christmas morning. I waited until my birthday to open MP-10 when I got him like 2 weeks early. It wasn't even wrapped so I just had to look at it every time I walked past. I keep NOTHING in the box so this was hard to over come.

I never wrap stuff I buy for myself as it seems totally pointless.

Plus I have a hard enough time trying to wrap gifts for others nicely.

There's something really sad about someone wrapping their own Christmas gifts :(  It breaks my heart actually.

I mean I might be wrong but I can only see two scenarios where someone is buying themselves Christmas presents and wrapping them for Christmas day:

    A) You are totally utterly alone in life.

    B) You are a total control freak and won't let the people in your life get you a present on their own. You have a ridiculously detailed list and if someone gets you something that's not on it, you don't want it.

Now that's not to say someone isn't allowed to treat themselves at the end of the year. I mean it's one thing if your wife gives you a go ahead to get yourself something you wanted, that's cool, or you are a single parent and just picked up a few things so your children think you got stuff from Santa too.

I just think it is weird for people to actively buy themselves Christmas gifts, wrap them, and then put them under the tree. Not trying to be offensive and I do apologize if I come off that way.
