Rodimus might tempt me... But Heatwave came out of left field. They made him an Autobot instead of having to deal with a SG Decepticon.

 

I can't believe I'll actually be buying these. These are so ridiculous, and for some reason I know I'm getting them all.

Very neat this style works a lot better for robots that those humanoid characters.

It's pretty neat that they made the Jetfire look similar to the new voyager coming out.

Um, Heatwave is in Rescue Bots so some kids will actually know who he is.

Rodimus and Heatwave actually look pretty cool. They might actually be worth getting. Makes me wonder who else they're doing in this line. It would never happen, but I would love to see some RID designs in this line. Especially Optimus and Megatron.

Did you happen to know about this in advance, Pete, or are you just as surprised as we are?

 

Clearly they were going to use the Heatwave from Rescue Bots, but the research department picked the wrong character. They could do the same with Smokescreen as there are at least 3 very different ones (G1, G2, and Prime).

 

Just a nice surprise. My guess is they wanted a "classics" version of the character and, well, he is the Classics version lol...

 

Finally a not so dinky Hotrod. Good stuff can hardly wait to get him. To bad he doesn't transform.
