I'm always so impressed when they manage to get the cars so close to accurate. Does anyone have experience with creating renders like this? Do you have to buy a 3D model of the vehicle and then go from thwre, or do you start from scratch? I imagine creating the car would be almost harder than the robot.

 

Not to bash the design work on this, but the vehicle mode isn't particularly accurate to the movie model (taking more cues from the stock Solstice than the GXP model). Still, I'll watch this one with interest due to the impressive robot mode.

 

Kinda funny how I just praised the car and you didn't think it looked too good haha anyway, maybe it's not entirely accurate, but it looks a lot like the Human Alliance version. I think the robot mode is where it actually suffers. It was pointed out that the kibble probably folds under the chest, which makes the waist look longer than it should. It's also really skinny. My only complaints at this stage, besides the lack of details, is the waist proportions, the forearms, and the heel kibble. Other than that, it looks great so far!

 

HA Jazz is still far and away my favorite movie-based toy and I believe it's one of the crowning achievments of Hasbro toys in general. That said, one of the reasons I love it is because I love the design of Jazz in the movie so I most definitely have room for another great Jazz toy.

 

I'll be watching this thread closely for more news.

 

I love the direction DF is going. Ive been waiting and hoping hasbro would do another jazz either to keep use of the name itself or due to the 10yr anniversary of the 07 movie but this...this right here from DF i cant wait to have. Ill be buying one or maybe 2

Deluxe sized and a G1 deco and I may just bite.

 

Yeah they look good but my concern is that by the time any of Dream Factory's toys come out, TakaraTomy might have released some of them...the releases are too slow.

 

Ironically, this inaccurate stock solstice would go great with the inaccurate stock mpm bumblebee if they scale it right.

 

This looks really good, but if HasTak makes an MPM Jazz, I certainly won't complain. The more Jazz, the better!

I missed when transformers turned into relatively affordable vehicles...

Also, does it bother anyone else that Prime has 8 rear wheels, but 4 of them disappear in robot mode?

 

I always thought that the splitting tire transformation was two of the tires expanding around the other set. I know the wheels are still unaccounted for though.

 

what 8 wheels. I only see 4. does the truck have those double wheels that I also never noticed either.
