Blurr: Bumblebee, I don't feel so good-

 

Well that was sad.

 

This show doesn't have a good balance between kiddish lightheartedness and grimdark material. The transitions are so rushed and jarring.

 

I know another show that was the same way but far, far worse with what you described:


Lets hope Cyberverse doesn't start abandoning story arcs in favor of dumb filler like that show did.  

(Also, I'm loving Cyberverse so far. Possibly on par with Prime if it keeps up!)

 

it had of alot early 2000s hotwheels movies vibes with those racetracks

 

I'm genuinely shocked they killed someone in this show. Like generic was surprising but that? That was legit not something I'd have thought they'd pull.

I mean there's some weird line delivery by Hot Rod...but yeah, genuinely surprised

 

Also Acid Storm is a lady it seems. Neat. I'm assuming going by the promo stuff, this means the character was conceived as a guy but they made them female in the show.

 

Blurr will be back, with new body...I hope.

didn't expect a dead at all (as rid was) but it was a surprise that it was a very know and loved character. it hurts me that he's dead but well, I hope to see more of him in the future, at least as memories.

 

This episode is really nice with some action and chasing.

 

What is it with Blurr dying this year? First in the Unicron event and now this? Oh, lets not forget when he got squashed in Animated but that was a couple years ago now. Oh well, at least RH Blurr is alive, right? Right?!
Anyway, fun episode, Hot Rod's voice was a bit odd but could improve in next episodes.

Okay, first off: could they not have found some VAs for the characters in the episode that don't sound almost exactly alike?

Second off: How come none of the VAs in this show know how to deliver any of their dialogue. "He really was the fastest." Was definitely supposed to be a morose reflection on Blurr being great when he lived, but the VA took it as Hot Rod somehow realizing in that moment as Blurr raced to the controls that he was faster than anyone else.

Seriously, is it just a bunch of kids hanging out in a studio that are doing the voices for this, or does the voice acting director just not give a shit.

 

This and edpisode 7 felt really filler-ish.

Interesting that Acid Storm is female, even though the animation model we've seen definitely has the 'male' seeker face rather than the 'female' face that Slipstream and Nova Storm have.

 

This is the only ep where I’d say the non union inexperienced voice actor thing hurt things. And really only Hot Rod. Blurr was fine. Hot Rods got some very odd line deliveries

 

Almost feels like they decided to change it last minute.

 

I actually really liked this episode and the last. I'm extremely surprised they actually killed off a character...on screen even. I really like the setting of Velocitron...I kind of wish they had more episodes there.

 

Legit surprised that they did what they did, and to somebody who tends to be prominent. I guess the show will have moments of darkness in it, didn't expect that.
