    Folks:

Could it be possible that these mysterious 'TF Classics'
might just be a placeholder name for the Titanium die-cast
figures? I really hope it isn't, but I wonder.

    Hmmm.... No.

The Classics price points were listed as Deluxe ($10-12.99) and Voyager ($20). The only Titanium figures that come close will be War Within Prime and War Within-like Megatron, and I believe they will cost $15.

Maybe classics is the new term for universe, or re-issues.

No, the new TRU listings show them as seperate entities:

496477 - TRA Legends of Cybertron Ast $3.99 (Cyberron LOC)
    496558 - Cyber Unleashed Primus $49.99 (DUH)
    496593 - TF 20th Anniversary Optimus Pr $89.99 (whatever)
496999 - GI TRA Deluxe Vintage Classic $10.99 (your classics sir)
498316 - TF TS TRA 6" Cybertron Heros A $14.99 (the 6" titanium figs. IE: WW Prime and WTF Megatron)
498332 - TF TS TRA 3" Meta Robot Maste $4.99 (the 3" titanium figs. IE: the guys that look like they need to crap)
498405 - TF TRA Voyager Classic Assortm $19.99 (the second classics listings)

Therefor... no way in hell it's just a reissue line or a place holder for the titnium figures.

Ah. Ask a question, get an answer the same day. When this Internet thing works,
it works well -- many thanks, Laser Optimus, especially for backing up your answer
with numbers. I like numbers. They make bakers fall down the stairs. They sponsor public television. They cause
psychedelic pinball games to take place in my brain...

Well, always happy to help, but you should go thank Junior over in the frontpaged thread. He's the one whom found them. :thumbs2:

We already know that the classics line is Neo G1. People have seen designs and prototypes.

At this years big summer convention ( i forget the name...help please) Hasbro showed prototypes of some of the figures. G1 classic indeed. Megs is a gun.

I think a lot of people are expecting these to be the same toys as the G1 figures with new articulation. It is my understanding that that will not be the case. The bot modes will be similar, but the alt. modes may be "updated" i.e., not the same. Don't expect a Walther, a Fairlady, or much of that.

Nope..but Megatron is a gun. It'll remind you of a certain Nerf gun.

Yeah. That's what I meant. The alt. modes will be similar, but not the same. I get the impression that a lot of people expect them to be the exact same alt. modes just with better 'bot modes.

Don't you just hate it when awesome, orgasmic, fantastic news like this comes out, with no photographic evidence or random conspricacy theories like "They will be able to transform.....by themselves!".

Ah but there IS photographic evidence...only has it unfortunately. But talk to any Botcon attendee and they'll vouch for it.
