To those who have seen the new movie: was it better than DOTM or ROTF? I was so eager to see it,but then all the reviews came up (from both fans and critics) and they sound so much like the ones of DOTM...a film I didn't really enjoy. So, is it worth my money or should I just wait until the DVD comes out?
I found it the most enjoyable to date. I had huge issues with the first 3 (2 & 3 in particular) but a couple of things were fixed - decent villains who don't die easily and a better human cast.
Yes. Better than both. Undecided if I like it more than the first movie though... Better Autobot character development than any of the other movies which gives the audience a chance to love/hate them. Cade is a much more balanced human character than Sam ever was. I think whether you like it or not will depend how much of a purist you are in terms of your favourite Transformers franchise... If you're willing to go in open minded (it is no where near as bad as DoTM) you'll be pleasantly surprised. It isn't perfect but it is better than previous efforts and it makes quite good use of the 3D.
Actually compared to the last two movies, this progressed quite a bit. Better villains. Better human cast. Better writing. Treating Autobots like actual characters. It still has kinks and isn't a perfect film, but it's a big improvement.
The last battle against Lockdown. It was an epic teamplay! I haven't known that I can fight against Cybertronian with a truck.
