I have to say that I've been extremely impressed with TF Animated so far. It's well written....the animation is great.....and it's just plain fun to watch.

I'd have to say that it's THE BEST TF cartoon since at least Beast Wars....and dare I say G1.

Who agrees? Who likes it as much as I do and why? Who really dislikes it or couldn't care less?

    THANKS for the posts!!

This weekend, during the flashbacks, I really did feel like I was watching an extension of G1, and not from the standpoint of a G1-fan, rather, the way the characters spoke to eachother and interacted with one another. It was like I was watching a time period between War-Dawn and The Search for Alpha Trion, except for the fact that Elite wouldn't have been around in The Search, but like I said, I wasn't watching it as a continuation, rather... the art style is definitely different, as is the timeline and universe, but the soul of Transformers was there, brightly as ever.

edit: oh and love him or hate him, but I personally love the fact that we now have an inexperienced, young, Prime. It's so nice to not see perfection in his character, and even him being a little insulted by Sari making fun of him, and seeing some of his darker past. I almost forgot I was watching a TF show when I heard Sentinal yell "This is all your fault". Hardly anyone ever yells in anger in TFs. It's a nice sign that things aren't always so spiffy for the Autobots.

It was also nice seeing Black Arachnia's organic side come out in her crying, something that I doubt transformers are programmed to do.

I would definitelty put it aside Beast Wars and G1.

I'd say it's the best show since... Beast Machines

But yeah, as much as I love R.I.D, I think I like Animated even more!

That's pretty much the same for me, only I would swap G1 for BM. (What can I say, BW/M was my G1)

Best ever for me too, followed by G1.

BW/BM is at the bottom on my list. Was utter crap, IMO.

Best ever for me. G1, while wonderfully nostalgic, does not hold up to repeated viewing, even the movie, which absolutely rocked my world when I was 11.

Beast Wars was good, but it was at a time in my life when I wasn't all about TF's. I need to watch the whole thing through, but don't feel like spending eleventy billion dollars.

TF:A is certainly bringing up lots of unexpected surprises in the plots and characters. It's doing new things with names we are familiar with, but it still carries the heart of and uses G1 as its foundation. All this is an incredible feat from the creators of the show imo. Only people very familiar with G1 could have made this series what it is story wise.

This show is the best since G1 and way better than BW/BM, and the Unicron Trilogy.

I personally think it's the best TF show since RID. Then again, RID was my "G1", so there's a little bit of bias in it's favor.

I agree! RiD was also like my G1, even though I was around to watch BW. I loved how RiD worked, but I gotta say, Animated has quickly won over my heart. Rock on, Animated!

Oddley enough, same situation here. I watched Beast Wars, but RID was the show that got me into Transformers, and I've been a fan since then, though I didn't actually start collecting till about half way threw Cybertron. If I get all the TF's that I currently plan to get this year, I'll have at least 100 in my collection. A good amount of them coming from Animated.

Wow, all this praise and we've only had two of the really good episodes thus far.
I have to say that I am really loving it now, I didn't realize untill I watched them all again over the weekend (saving money right now) just how liong it had taken me to adjust to the art style and the voices.
Now I can just enjoy it without constantly being surprised at the look etc and it's all the better for it. :D

BW/BM, followed by Animated. G1 is at the bottom of my list, closely followed by Energon.

Animated is great. It's nice to watch a TF show and not be bored by it or find myself going "WTF" at the general flow of the episodes.
