So I got Prowl and Lockdown today from an entirely legitimate source (ahem) in China, and it came in Euro packaging! So here's the cardback: Images can be seen here: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers...ers-animated-european-cardback-images-164416/
Wait, I'm confused, which other figures are in this wave... And KA, that new sig is maximum awesomness.
Wouldn't an Euro packaging have a ton of languages rather than just three? Besides, English, French and Spanish are languages used in North-America as well.
That was my initial thought, but we've already seen the US card back. Only other thing I can think might be Canada, but is Spanish a common language there?
Hmm, a little strange indeed. If this is supossed to be the European packaging... why isn't there any text in German or Italien? But the idea of bios on the other side of the Instruction is a very nice idea. Seems like nice little posters to me.
Perhaps, maybe just perhaps Hasbro has created two European cards. Seems a bit outlandish I know but given the effort they've gone to here to give the buyer everything the American buyers get perhaps it's not so ridiculous.
Bios on the back of the instructions is a nice touch. This way you don't have to keep the backs of the packaging (or all of it) for those of us who don't have room for them.
I think there probably is a second Euro design. As I recall it's happened in the past (G2 and BW, for instance) where UK releases had three languages, but there were versions with three other languages for other countries. If this is the case, the second version would likely have German Italian and Dutch; they're usually the six standard ones, although they're not usually in that distribution; I'm sure we usually shared with Spanish and either Italian and Portuguese, while the other version had French, Dutch and German. Something like that, anyway. Can't be bothered to hunt down an old bio card right now.
Nope. But that is the packaging we get most times. The movie stuff is tri-lingual. All the stuff I actually bought has the bio/tech specs on the back of the instructions. Classics had them on the card backs but they didn't need a huge amount of space for the also avialable section.
Sigh. This the first time you've seen trilingual packaging? This is the standard Candaian/South American packaging design. English/French for Canada, Spanish for South America. Not for Europe. http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Multilingual_packaging
Defninately, my main complaint with hasbro uk's packaging is that there hasn't been bios for years and if they were it was only a single sentence. with printing them on the back of the instructions we aren't missing out. it's a grand comprimise if you ask me
