I've actually been done with my entry for a while now, lol. I'm just waiting till a couple of days before the deadline to post it. I've also done a couple of extra shots, and will be posting those along with the pictures I'm submitting for the contest in a thread of my own. Now that I think about it, I still need to put a watermark on it, but that's going to be easy, and fast, when I do it.

.... Except Overhaulimus just copied the same image you used. In fact, seeing it made me feel more confident about myself. :p

Could you guys post links to the contest at other forums? I'm having trouble finding them because this is the only TF forum I go to. I'd like to see the competition!

As for my entry, I've been pretty busy lately so I havent had much time to work on it, but as of today I am finished with the background and the bike mode. Next is robot mode!

Uh... if you drew your entry based on an official image, it means you copied it. Why couldn't you have drawn your own pose? That counts as much for creativity as the colour scheme.

Did you not read any of this thread?

I plainly stated numerous times that I am not an artist and suck at drawing.I have a serious problem with perspective and such.

I can mimic perspective and mimic the style, but when it comes to trying to drawing my own perspective don't even ask it.

If you don't like it then that's fine, but don't go saying that I copied the image.I didn't copy the image I drew it in the same perspective, there is a BIG difference. If I copied the image then I would have traced it.

I don't think Overhaulimus and I are talking the same language. (In fact, I'm not sure he understands the word 'perspective' correctly.) When I say 'copy', I mean you based your drawing off of another. I didn't say you traced it, but you definitely copied it. Just to clear things up.

I'm pretty sure he perfectly understands the word "perspective." Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure you have no concept of what the word "copy" means in the art world. According to your definition, many professional artists, those that get paid for what they draw, are "copiers." We in the art world who know the correct usage of the terminology call this "relying heavily on reference material." "Copying" is basically just a synonym for "tracing."

Anywho, seeing as I just found this thread, I'm wondering if I should even try to get an entry up with so little time left... But I could REALLY use that Prowl figure for my photocomics... I might try something similar to Nemesis Predaking's method, since that appears to be all I have time for...

*sigh* For some people, you just have to spell it out, don't you? When I say 'copying', I mean you reproduce someone else's illustration by eye. 'Tracing' means you take a light box or something similar and follow the line art of the illustration on a superimposed sheet. I hope that clears it up for you. Now unless you've jumped in here with your foot in your mouth, maybe you can outline where I said or implied that many professional artists are copiers. And don't bullshit me about 'we in the art world'. I'm a better artist than you will ever be.

I apologize, but the custom sticker set has fallen through. Does anyone mind if I add an *IN HAND* C9 Loose ANIMATED Bumblebee instead?

That's perfectly fine with me. I wasn't really planning on using the sticker set unless I did a kitbash of Prowl in his G1 colors (which I probably wouldn't have done one way or the other). I really want to win now. Hopefully my entry doesn't suck as much as I think it does.

Well, I might as well post my entry while I have it on my mind. I've also posted it, and a couple others, in a new thread (here). I hope I win, but won't get upset or anything if I don't. I hope the watermark isn't in the way. I also put a symbol that I've come up with in the corner.
