That's because Japanophines don't understand subtlety of design.
Or subtlety period.
Yes!!!! I would love to see the Japanese version.
Also, whats with all the anime fan hate? And does anyone else find weabo extremely insulting and or border line racist?
Is this okay mods?
Just came across somebody's drawing at Futaba
I haven't seen Rescue Fire, didn't know it was over. Does this mean Tomica Hero is over too? Or is it just a hiatus? I was planning on looking into Rescue Force.
People don't seem to be hating on anime fans, really, just Weeaboos, which are different. they're the ones I want little to do with. THough, some people WOULD probably classify me as one, too, so I dunno...
Inspired by this thread, I watched some fansubs on NIKONIKODOUGA. I like to watch the comments scroll by, even if I can't understand them. Apparently Headmaster reminds people of Dio Brando?
i have to say
i like it
There's a subbed version of the 30-second clip up, too.
Turns out JAM Project is gonna be doing the theme
The song's gonna be called Transformers EVO. I can't wait to hear the full version!
First episode of the show was on air today.
It was shown in 4:3 format for the story part, and 16:9 for the OP, ED, and information corner.
So is this the thread for overall discussion of the Japanese dub of Animated?
Anyway, still waiting for the first episode to hit You Tube. But from what I've heard, here's what to expect:
*A faithful translation. No Japanese Beast Wars style character mutilations or nonstop adlibbed gags.
*A minute and a half of footage cut from each episode. Done to accomodate longer opening and ending sequences (the same was done to the G1 cartoon in the 80s) and to accomodate a new ending segment featuring...
*The Otoboto Family. New segment features a sitcom-style family called the Otobotos talking about Transformers trivia and pimping TakaraTomy products.
As for the editted footage, there's a chance that the episodes were dubbed at uncut length and THEN the footage was removed so the episodes could fit the timeslot. If that IS the case, then bilingual DVDs are still a possibility (as oposed to the G1 series, which was edited for length BEFORE redubbing, making dual audio tracks impossible for home video release).
We'll have to wait and see on that, though.
Sucks that the Japanese are getting edited episodes, though.
