    intersting. I hadn’t heard that.

I Find it odd it had other Hasbro products (nerf & disney-licensed toys)...but no transformers.

Remember that TRU was still sending orders to Hasbro knowing they were shutting down. There may be some hurt feelings between the two.

i get that...but it’s odd they would agree to sell them some brands and not others. Hasbro could be doing a “wait and see” approach.

Additionally, the TF section at TRU had shrunk considerable over the years...unti the retail closing we were only seeing like two columns of pegs from the top of the shelf down...which, is not a lot of retail shelf space. so it could be that TRU’s weren’t as interested in TFs when launching the new “hands on” experience...especially without a movie line.

EDiT: all wild speculation on my part. Just curious in how these decisions get made.

I feel that currently transformers is not really a major player when compared to the other brands at tru, which is basically completely focused on the younger demographic, cyberverse is not enough to compete with Disney and marvel, and there isn’t currently a big movie looming near or just finishing

I think that transformers may eventually rotate in to the new tru when there is greater demand from the audience they are serving

but we are not that audience so I’m not at all surprised at transformers absence

I agree, the market for Transformers is merely adult collectors at this point. Shoot, I feel like a good deal of the Cyberverse figures are purchased by adults. Look at all the other retailers, the TF section is tiny these days. This is why I just can't help but roll my eyes when the fandom starts to complain about articulation, paint apps, or design all together because we should feel lucky that they're still making low-end figures for us. The amount of engineering and development of these figures has got to be much more than basic Disney and Marvel toys and with a dwindling market I'm surprised we get as much as we do.

Ross TJMaxx forum is saying MPM7 Bee is showing up at Ross for $50. I haven’t found one yet though.

BUT if you guys are looking for MPM5 Barricade, Amazon has them at $49.99 right now. ($54 after tax). Grabbed one.

Saw that. I'm not sure MPM7 Bee is worth $50 though.

Honestly it’s not. That’s why I went for the Barricade instead.

Found Crosshairs at Cityview Target in Fort Worth. No Spinister, unfortunately.

Is Astrotrain showing up at Target? I'm seeing Ultra Magnus restocked there and he's supposed to be Astrotrain's casemate.

Interesting. I saw a couple Magnus' at Target this weekend and there were like 10 Shockwaves. No Astros though.

Hm, they're probably all wave 1 cases then. It's hard to tell with Shockwave since he's been shelfwarming pretty much everywhere. That's a shame, it'd be nice to get Astrotrain with the current Target sale. I didn't buy anything during buy 2 get 1 free as there was nothing I needed at the time.

I have not. Of course, the only place I see Battlemasters at are Targets, so the search is limited as is.

I have not seen the new targetmasters or battle masters at retail either. I ordered mine from BBTS. those final waves can be tough to find sometimes.

royal oaks Walmart has cyberverse 1-step jazz in the Christmas bins.

stopped by far west target today at lunch. nothing new really. they did have one SS BB Optimus Prime. also one siege rainmaker 3-pack..

I also checked a couple of dollar trees for the small bagged figures. no luck.

Wasn't expecting to find enough for their current promotion, but I found Apeface, Direct-Hit/Powerpunch and Ratbat/Frenzy at Target in Cedar Hill. They put out a lot of old Siege stock, but some new. One Spinister and one Impactor still there. I got the only Apeface, but they also had a Hound, Ultra Magnus, Starscream and Thundercracker. No Rung or his Targetmaster, no Rainmakers.

Oddly enough, found a stack Generations Selects Ricochet at a Houston Taylor Target fie $14.01. Haven’t seen this news yet, sorry if it’s been posted somewhere.
