Why are people upset over Dreadwing's death? He was a psychotic decepticon who tried to kill the bots on numerous occasions and came very close to it too. Yes, his death was anticlimactic, but what do you expect with these writers? The story completely sucks. Season 1 was good, but season 2 has turned out to be complete crap. It would have been nice if Dreadwing turned out to be a Dinobot-like character, but these writers aren't smart enough to pull that off. Another thing that bothers me is why are there so many recycle-a-cons + Megatron that are in the action most of the time. Why not just bring all the core decepticons (megatron, starscream, soundwave, knockout) into every single battle.. Their chances of success would greatly improve.

Did you guys notice the animation and speech in the latest episode in the Autobot base.. WTF was that? It looked like some crap a student would present for a final at a community college tech class.

 

It seems to be the same arguments again and again.
1. "insert death here" is too anticlimatic.
2. Writers are dumb idiots who cant copy other writers.( I.e. beast wars writers).

 

Season Two has been ten times better than season one. Period.

I think they were smart, in that they played with our expectations for Dreadwing. He was a good character, but his death was executed fairly well. It had a lot of shock value, and it played well to both Dreadwing's sense of honor and Megatron's characterization. That fact that you're so upset by it means that it served its purpose.

I think the reason for the rest of them staying on the ship is the fact that they had no idea the Autobots were going to be there, and someone needed to remain on the ship and coordinate everything. The Vehicons were likely taken for additional security against any threats an abandoned planet could hold. Besides, the principal Decepticons (minus Soundwave) see a decent amount of combat (the 4 part relic hunt, Hard Knocks, etc. etc.).

As for your last point, I don't see what you're talking about, nor have I seen anyone else point out a similar flaw. I think that's you. The animation is very
well done and consistent, by all accounts (minus, of course, the ginormous swords disappearing when Megs and Optimus transform).

He was a good character and I can see your point. He may not even be dead. It's just a giant hole in the chest, his spark is probably still intact, who knows?

I know that the decepticons see a fair amount of fighting, I'm just saying that if all the decepticons came together during a battle against the autobots, it would make for a better fight and it would be more advantageous for the cons.

My last point, I was talking about the scene in which the autobots go to grab their relics and as they're coming back down the hall, the animation did not look fluid, also the scene before that, when the bots are talking. Their speech is not fluid.

 

As I've said before:

Season 2 is just fine.

It's the butthurt it generates that makes it that much better.

Thing is, there hasn't exactly been an opportunity for the 'cons to all gang up on the 'bots. They are either running multiple mining operations across the world, decoding relics, or finding said relics (oftentimes at the same time in different location).

Well, lip syncing has always been relatively poor on this show, but other than that the scene seems fine. They walk like they normally do, perhaps a little slower to convey to the audience "Hey guys this is the penultimate battle. It's pretty epic".

No he absolutely was not.

He had a sense of fairness and was semi-reasonable, shackled only by his unending loyalty to Megatron. He was absolutely not psychotic. Sadistic perhaps a bit, cruel yes, and sneaky. But he was always in control of himself and was rational.

 

I've definitely enjoyed season two.

is really the only disappointment for me so far.

 

Atleast it wasn't season one where things would happen and character die in one episode their introduced in or leave at the end of the episode.
