I think we're talking about two totally different things. I meant "swap" as in putting a lower quality/cheaper figure in the card/box of another and then returning it to the store.

Thou shalt not covet a child's toy. They get first dibs.

    1. Thou shalt have no other toy collections before your Transformers collection.

    2. Thou shalt not take the name of Transformers in vain.

    3. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of Transformers. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.

    4. Remember the convention day, to keep it holy.

    5. Honor thy toymanufactorer and thy retailer.

    6. Thou shalt not break your Transformers.

    7. Thou shalt not...your Transformers toys.

    8. Thou shalt not steal Transformers.

    9. Thou shalt not sell KO to thy board member.

    10) Thou shalt not covet anything that belongs to thy board member.

Thou shalt not blame every time they can't find a toy on scalpers.

Thou shalt not expect free shipping from everyone.

Thou shalt not constantly make wanted threads demanding "reasonable prices only" IE I am too much of a cheap ass to pay even the retail price for a new figure and expect it to be sold to me for $5 with free shipping and a reach around.

Thou shalt not use stupid terms when referring to toys or the companies that make them like CHUG or Hasblow.

Thou shalt not always ask people whether or not they should buy figure. Be a man and make a decision for yourself.

The only rule I have with this hobby is:

Thou shalt not put thyself first when a child wanteth the same toy.

Honestly, these are kids toys and if I'm in the aisle eyeing a toy, ready to buy and a kid comes up and gets all cheery because they wanted it; it's going to the kid. That's one of the reasons why I started using online stores almost exclusively.

thou shalt not give a collector shit over his 3rd party collection

thou shalt not panel line thine figures

thou shalt not hoard, but display and share

thou shalt allow others to handle thine toys, or supply equally amusing distractions

    What about...

Thou shall not wear a signature on TFW exceeding the allowed specifications?

Seriously though, thou shall not make eye contact?

Your family is your ally in the hunt. Do not disrespect them or your collection can and will be treated likewise.
A misfit in your collection should go to your child, not sold for profit. You may end up liking it all over again, tho it muat remain forever more In your child's posession.

Thou shalt not pass on a bot in store for uncertainty, out of fear of never seeing it again. Buy it when you see it! Which leads to-

Thou shalt keep thy receipts, in case your Animated Starscream has no head.

Isn't coveting the point? You see their stuff, covet, and buy your own? Just look at how many people have been sold on figures via Cool Stuff/Supah Clear threads.

somone on these very boards posted a thread warning other members of an auction he had won, in the auction, the pics showed clearly broken G1 transformers. you could see the missing parts and well it was obvious they werent in good shape.

the poster stated that he recieved the items broken and negs the seller (ebay btw) for not selling them what was listed or not listing properly. even in the auctions description, did it say they were in poor condition.
