I had an extra BH Soundwave without any accessories, so I decided to make IDW Froid. I added 3D printed head and chest. The head doesn't stow like the original, but the chest piece keeps it from hanging out under the plane. A couple of comic scene homages: Colleagues: Shot with his patient/partner (future custom):

I can put the models on Shapeways, but the head needs to be printed at 125% scale. I can't fix the original model because I lost access to the software I used to make it. I can see if I can post them tomorrow. Thank you! Thank you!
Oh man, this is fantastic. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my BH Soundwave a while back because I'd do this in a heartbeat. And you're doing a Sunder, to boot?! Dang. (Also, the Energon tank guy as Rung is super clever.)

As cool as he looks... He might be named Froid but he seems like he'd craft nightmares, not help you cope with them! Hehe. Dunno much about the actual IDW character, but he'd make a cool choice if the Hasbro Pulse shop did some sort of poll for Gen Selects.
Thank you! The extra spikes from the BH version of Soundwave does make him more ghoulish. I debated whether or not to cut them off to make him look more like the comic, but I decided to leave them in the end. An official version would be cool. Digging back to super-old toylines was more of a FunPub thing... (course, that was also at an absurd premium....) Did you see the recent leak for a Prime War Breakdown and Vehicon 2-pack though? They just may go back into an older toyline to release such a set. (Would be easy for Hasbro to use the UW Galvatronus limb bot for Breakdown... dunno what they'd use for a Vehicon tho.)
If those are the original molds in the 2-pack, I definitely want it. It could be possible. They've revisited shattered glass with the Prime/Ratchet set, so why not more IDW MTMTE references?
