Either all the trophies are easy to get, or you're a monster! :p

Honestly, they were pretty easy. I didn't even know what the achievements were, went to check and I was at 80 something percent. It's all stuff that you'll likely play through anyways.

Just something my group has learned... if you have 4 or more people, just do tournaments instead of lobbies. That way you guys all get opportunities at fight money and items on top of everyone getting to play.

The way that this game just shells out fight money tells me that either Namco is just awesome with it or the vast majority of nice stuff is going to be paid DLC.

doesn't fight money become moot after 2000 fights anyway?

Maybe I'm out of the loop but I don't know why it would.

At 2000 (I think, might have the wrong number), fights, I've seen posts that you just flat out unlock everything.

Never played Tekken in my life and know nothing about the franchise but thanks to SF5 being absolute balls I just got this. Have tons of respect for high level Tekken players now lol. Trying to learn this game is really hurting my brain. Never been this overwhelmed trying to learn a fighter ever.

TJ could u recommend some noob friendly characters to start out with? I'm talking SUPER noob friendly. I've been messing with Katerina in training but still not sure if I wanna stick with her or not.

Katerina is by fair that character with a bunch of ready-made mixups by just mashing a button over and over again.

Back when I started playing, the Tekken 3 days, the go-to beginner characters were Hwoarang and Eddy Gordo. New flavour Jin and Kazuya are fairly new player friendly too.

Most people told me Kazuya was NOT beginner friendly but who knows. Think I'll stick with Katerina now and see how it goes. I'd like to try King but he seems hard to learn, maybe I'm wrong.

I don't know what about Kazuya is beginner friendly since he relies heavily on reads and counters and has some of the most complex motions in the game, but... ok.

And King... honestly, he's weird. He's got a decently easy intro ceiling, but to even be DECENT with him you pretty much have to drop all else and dedicate to him. Not a lot of complex motions but probably the most to learn on even a BnB level out of anyone in the game.

Honestly, I think he's a great character to start off with in this game because I think he honestly represents the direction that they want this game to head towards the best.

So, now that it's been out a while, what are everyone's thoughts? I haven't played it as much since going orange ranks (destroyer,) but still pop on every so often. Admittedly, once I did that Tekken God Prime level on Treasure, I kinda' went back to screwing around in SFV and haven't played as seriously. Them taking away the ability to see who's on and choose who you fight in ranked absolutely sucks, and it has nothing to do with free wins. Unlike other games, fighting a higher rank doesn't get you more ranked points; in fact it gets you less. Same ranks get a whole point won/lost and then as you outside of your rank up or down it's .5, .25., .125, and then none. It was nice to just see same ranks and challenge them to level up quicker, and now it's sit in Training mode and a random name pops up that doesn't even show their rank or anything. It's garbage. I don't know how they think they were eliminating cherry picking when now you can just find someone you can beat and keep rematching until you rank up. Just really backwards thinking. It's like major fighting games have the mentality of, "If it ain't broke, fuck it up anyways just to say you did something."

Tekken Bowl apparently comes 08/31 so I'm actually excited as it's one of those goofy games I can get the Mrs. to play with. The Geese release though I think is December? That's pretty damned crazy... I haven't read anything, but I'm wondering how long they consider a "Season" to be.
