I LOVE the look of the S7 Turtles. The toys and/cartoon/NES game were my 1st intro to the Turtles, not sure which one I got into 1st but it was all around the same time. So the sculpts bring back memories and nail the look. I just wish the 4H had gone beyond full articulation. It seems like they made strides to get around the belly plate by using soft plastic and having the hips/waist able to clear it. It would’ve been good if the 4H incorporated double jointed elbows/knees. I know it’s kind of rare for them to do so but a TMNT line definitely could’ve benefited.
I've got the S7 stuff on preorder. The toys were my first introduction into TMNT as a kid and I actually never watched a cartoon episode until AFTER the first movie came out and I saw it opening day. So the cartoons were kind of third-tier for me growing up. I just wish the stuff from S7 offered more articulation than what we're seeing. Especially at the $50 mark, but I can't complain about the number of accessories I'm seeing included with each release.
Does anyone still need a Target animated Casey 2 pack? I picked up a Metal Head and 2 pack preemptively for a friend, but he ended up finding a 2 pack on his own. Figure I'd offer it here before returning it, just asking cost+shipping.
@chrisr291 @ShawnBerger4Mayor1985 and @supervir2 all have Casey on their want list...maybe one of them will take it off your hands!
I’ll take it if it’s still available. Alternatively, I’ll take the soldier and @redrum2581 can have Casey if we could work that out.
I'll stay out of it this time! If you guys can work out a split, that makes two people happy rather than just one.
Looks like the Chinese distributor dropped the ball on Super7 inventory. Too bad I don't Taobao 【复调】现货 Super7 忍者神龟 究极版系列1 复古 潮流 TMNT 怀旧-淘宝网
Yup apparently the Super7 folks aren't very happy with the reviewer or the content. His message kinda bums me out too.
I didn’t care for the guy’s Raphael review, at all, but he’s obviously not lying. He just dropped ample amounts of evidence that Super7’s Chinese distributor are selling these figures, evidently without Super7’s knowledge. I’m sure that’s going over, like a lead balloon, over there at Super7. Didn’t like his review, but Brian probably shouldn’t be calling him a liar, because he’s obviously not lying.
The main thing that concerns me at this point about the S7 figures is that not all the articulation is completely functional, as in, some of it is substantially hindered. You don’t see it much in the Raph review but you definitely see it with Splinter.
It's a shame because the sculpt work is fantastic. Some of the dialog between this reviewer and "said Brian" deals specifically with articulation criticisms.
