Had the sketch Raph for minutes before returning it. Turned out to have 2 right legs! Hard to tell in-box. Aside from the sculpt(you’d need to look from underneath or above to tell), you can identify this by 2 scribed muscle lines on the leg. 1 line is shorter and the other line is longer. If you look at the legs side by side and the shorter line(or longer line) is on the same side of both legs, the figure has duplicate legs.

From what little time I spent freeing the figure from the package before returning it, it felt ok. The inner shell is hard plastic and hinders hip movement a LOT. Any movement forward will be with the hips pivoted outward. The lower legs being hollow is a new level of cheapness that I’m surprised Playmates resorted to…. Playmates always playing too much as noted from the Terrordrome reissue issue above. The neck range is excellent. Is it worth the $15 even if you found 1 with the correct legs? I think it’s a stretch… $10 would’ve been sufficient and if the included sketch had been framed in plastic or something.

I was so close to getting the sketch turtles this morning. Went to a Target that had 4 in stock. Confirmed with an associate, who said they were on the floor. We both looked everywhere and he checked the back too. Couldn't find them. Left empty handed and ended up late to our next Saturday morning thing which made my wife understandably upset. Ugh.

But the Van and blimp have all been pretty much the same sizes as the original. Maybe they made it smaller to cut costs, or they lost the mold, or whatever it is. I'm only using it as a display piece so as long as it's as close to the original as possible, I'm for it.

Starting next Friday, 6/14... I haven't even recovered from the Haulathon. Hopefully not much in the way of TMNT. :D

Edit: Actually, hopefully they'll include the Last Ronin Leonardo and Splinter maybe Donatello. Waiting for sites other than Walmart and the NECA store to have them available.

Given NECA released just released a lot, I don't expect this to include their stuff. Hell, my Targets still haven't even stocked Detective Broadway yet.

That would be cool. I had that one as a kid and loved it.

This is a pretty significant reduction in size... Look at Bebop sitting inside the new one compared to the original!

This guy goes over a few other differences:

Interestingly, it sorta looks like the tunnel that connects to the sewer playset is the same size.. so this smaller one will presumably still connect to sewer.

I'm gonna wait to see what the box itself looks like before I decide to keep my preorder or not. If the box is close enough to the original, I'm gonna keep this.

If we assume these pictures are of the reissue, which I would say they are, then it definitely is smaller than the original. A small part of me thinks this is a real bummer, but at the end of the day, you're paying $80 for this slightly smaller drome, than $400 for a complete original. I can easily let the size go and have one of my grails on display without paying a lot.

Does anyone have a vintage Technodrome? Because Amazon has this image showing that the new one is 13.5 inches (34.4 cm) tall.

Well, the last set of drops were light on horror. Maybe this set is Universal Monsters and R-rated horror with a small side of the next (last?) couple of Universal Monsters TMNT.

There's also like three Aprils in the pipeline (movie in cartoon jumpsuit, Mirage, and Archie April AS a Turtle).

True about the monster line, though I just saw Professor Burke the other day, so I guess the only one that would be in it is Hammer Dracula.

I don't think they have shown off Mirage April yet (or Karai) and I have no idea what the other two would look like (I thought Archie used the 87 cartoon designs), but we haven't heard when Leatherhead and Ratking are getting released, so I guess it is possible.

That's where I am on this. I'm even tempted to get it despite not having any space for it, lol. $80 for a mostly vintage-ish and brand new Technodrome doesn't sound like a bad deal at all (compared to modern collectible stuff, anyway). I'd really like to see them do a Foot Cruiser so the bad guys have a foil for the Party Wagon.

We need a shredder Dracula and a new version of Donnie in the UM line since the Invisible Man version is both underwhelming and getting harder to find.

Do we know why the sewer lair and technodrome were designed to connect? It really doesn't make sense, would you want your base connected to the home of your sworn enemy?

The Fred Wolf cartoon was going to have the Turtles inherit it after beating the bad guys at the end of the first season!
