I personally find trophy hunting disgusting. Living in Wyoming, I'm surrounded by hunters. People who, generally, hunt and eat their kills. But this shit? No.
I don't see the problem here. She's taking part in programs that maintain the animal population in these areas. These people pay a specific amount of money to do what the park would otherwise do themselves. The parks/preserves get additional funding, these people get their trophy kills.
I don't like trophy hunting but I fail to see her killing any endangered species. Apparently the white rhino was just tranquilized, and the other animals shown aren't endangered gong by the comments.
How do "hunting" and "conservation" fit into the same sentence? Are lion, elephant, rhino, etc. populations really out of control?
In all of Africa? probably not. However, there are small areas in these preserves where they have to be controlled. Can't just let them bred out of control or allow diseased animals to spread said diseases. This happens everywhere, just that these places have found a way to get a ton of extra income by allowing these "hunters" to do the job for them.
I believe you, and agree with sickly animals, but I fail to comprehend how there isn't another option. But I'm a giant softy for animals. Not PETA level crazy, I just don't believe in this kind of hunting.

I feel you. I couldn't hurt an animal to save my life. I even feed the opossums that come into my yard. But yeah, there really isn't any other option beyond the park doing it themselves. Trapping and transporting them all over the country isn't a cost-effective option, and is just as likely to disrupt local eco-systems. These preserves are seriously under-funded and this type of "sport" does help them stay open and provide for the animals. It's kind of a necessary evil.
Yea. And sadly(IMO), there will always be someone who has a lot of money and gets off on killing things. I wish I had the money these people spend on hunting trips. Donate the money to the conservatory, and help relocate when possible. *shrugs*

I have never hunted in my life and most likely will. Once you have been in combat, what is the point of hunting an animal that can't fight back ( imo) I have no problems with hunting. The girl took out a lion with a bow and arrow, not a long rifle. That too me is more than hunting so to say, that keeps the true spirit alive.
Culls and tourism hunting are more complicated than "she kill animal BAD", and especially since she seems to be killing these rare, majestic creatures in a by-the-book manner with involvement with conservation authorities, I don't think there's much to be outraged over beyond a rich teen being able to kill rare, majestic creatures. I think she's pretty rich, that's enough for at least a bit of attention.
I personally don't like trophy killing (using a killed animal for food, etc. is fine as long as most of the beast is used for good), but if they're going to be culled anyways, then yeah, take her money and let her have at it. **Side note: I don't think she's hot. Have definitely seen and dated much better looking girls. --- I have to agree with this 100%. Her skill with that weapon is apparently quite impressive.
