Hi Everyone, Well, as the title states, I need your help in choosing a character to model. On my facebook page (LINK BELOW), I'm taking two polls allowing fans of 80's cartoons to choose what show they'd like to see a character built into a full figure 3D "organic" model. There will be two polls, one to decide the animated series the character originates and the second to determine the actual character to be modeled. I will then re-imagine the character and build him or her digitally. When complete, the "re-imagined" full figure 3D model will be made available for print via shapeways and one fan will be gifted a full color sandstone figure of the model. Although the ten animated shows have already been selected, as seen in the bulletin below, I have yet to decide what characters to include, from each particular series. So I could definitely use your help in deciding what character from each show you'd like to see on the final poll. Please list your character choices below and feel free to tell us why they should be included in the final list of characters to choose from. SO, if you'd like to participate, please visit my Tecrom Designs Artist page. The Link is at the bottom of my signature line. Unfortunately, I can only count votes made on my Artists page, as there are fans of other brands who don't participate on TFW2005. If you’d like to receive updates on the poll or you just enjoy what you see, please “LIKE” my page. Finally, below are samples of my work. See you there!! Cheers Tecrom Designs IMAGE OF THE POLL: (PLEASE VOTE ON MY TECROM DESIGNS ARTIST PAGE ONLY, THE LINK IS LOCATED BELOW MY SIGNTURE) SAMPLES OF MY WORK:
I recently got my shapeways order in and these are fantastic! The bigger sandstone pieces are really surprisingly nice. Not as grainy as they look in pictures. The FUD Space-family is a great addition to my collection. My vote goes to more Transformers related characters. Humans are a big part of TF lore and have been overlooked by Hasbro since forever. As I primarily collect show characters I tend to choose G1 cartoon people. I'd love a Chip Chase and season one/ two Spike and Sparkplug in your scale. Others that come to mind: Old Snake (Cobra Commander in a trenchcoat) The girl that loves Powerglide Ultra Magnus, Rodimus Prime, Springer and Arcee from Only Human: Circuit Breaker is a nice touch too. Or humans from other series off course. iDD
Neo-Knights (EDIT) If Transformers win the vote I'm hoping you could consider moving the character selection voting to the various Transformers boards for those not on Facebook or able to currently access it...
Supersquad, who's GTFO? Neo Nights look fun. Are they popular? And yes, I'd be happy to start a thread or add a poll on this thread if Transformers wins. Freaking awesome find. I never knew there were so many human characters on Transformers. BTW, you guys have got to check out the latest full color sandstone prints that just came in. I upscaled the Space Family mini figures to Marvel Legends size and they look amazing!! Check it out.
Circuit Breaker is for damn sure! it's short for 'get the fuck out', he's jokingly saying 'give me what I want or leave' lol also I know you specifically mentioned G1, but if you were open to humans from transformers in general then Agent Fowler and June Darby from Prime would be great since they were the only major human characters not to get a small statue. The ones that did were Jack, Miko, Raph, Silas and MECH Soldier size example
LOL, thanks for clearing that up. If TF is voted in as the fan fav I'll make sure Chip and Circuit Breaker are on the list of 10 characters to choose from.
These look great. For 80s' cartoons, I'd say old school TMNT (April O'Neil, Irma, Vernon and Burns Thompson). Ghostbusters (based on the movie, NOT the Filmation one with the ape and that jalopy) would be another nice choice though.
