Seriously, Shadow is one of the best games I have ever played in terms of throwing something new to the table, in so many different ways.
LOVE Shadow of the Colossus. Still pouring over ebay to get a copy of Ico to play/own. Will buy this game.

Does this mean we'll finally get to the top of the temple? Either way, all I can say is that I am looking forward to seeing more of Team Ico's next game! Maybe it will be the sequel to Ico or the story that bridges Shadow of the Colossus to Ico; both ideas that they've been hinting at.
Not a direct quote, but I think they like to work on new games everytime. And while normally that wold dissapoint me, I remember being upset that Shadow would not be a sequel to ICO, only to be pleasantly glad to be wrong when Shadow surpassed what I expected. Maybe this time you'll lead a Collussus by the hand hehehe
At first the team stated that Shadow of the Colossus was a "spiritual successor" to their previous game, Ico. People that played Ico then beat SotC and found that there were many similarities between symbols and themes originally found in Ico. Gamers then argued amongst each other whether or not SotC was a sequel or prequel to Ico... To clear up confusion amongst gamers, the creators of both games then revealed that Shadow of the Colossus would actually serve as the prequel to Ico, and that their next game may be based around a story that takes place in between both games and bridges the events of Shadow of the Colossus to Ico. I'm excited by this news because we could end up with a sequel to Ico, a bridge story that takes place between the 2 games, or even an entirely new game in itself! Either way, it seems like a win-win for us fans, as Team Ico's games are always unique and present new and innovative ways of game-play never seen before. After seeing what they managed to do with SotC, I can't even begin to imagine what they could pull off on the PS3.
Tis' a shame Team ICO is with Sony...as SotC is one of my favorite games, ever. I was following it since it was first announced, all the leaks and information coming out, the demo release, everything. A big part of the exploration throughout its first months, coming up with new ways to bring down colossi, speed running, etc. Hell I was even able to get to the last colossus by DODGING his attacks. So it is a shame I have to pass on their next game, as it is also quite likely to be an AMAZING experience (like ICO and SotC before it).
I would love to play another Shadow of the Colossus game, that thing was just epic. Been wanting to play ICO, but just haven't ponied up for a copy.
I just did, and can't wait to play it! Seriously, I hope it isn't a HD version of SOTC or ICO, but some new original property based off of one of those two games. Personally, I'd like to see a new Wanderer enter the land of the Colossuses right after the end of the game. Or, maybe a prequel to SOTC telling on how Wander (the nameless hero) came across the sword, bow with endless quiver, horse, etc. It could be an AWESOME Legend of Zelda kind of game. I remember hearing something similar, but that ICO was meant to be a prequel to SOTC in a way. If that is the case, then there could be a Legend of Zelda type game in the making. If ICO is the sequel to SOTC, then the girl Wander is trying to save in SOTC and sacrifices himself to save could end up being the main character and heroine.
Yeah I wish it wasn't on a Sony machine also. God knows that their first two games were awful on the PS2.
