I am very interested to see how this pans out, it may be what gets me to sign up for the Transformers club again. Depends on the price point to get her since she's (probably) coming with Afterburner.

I was going to question why Afterburner, then I remembered Money is Everything.

Eh. That kind of sets a bad precedent in my mind.

How well does a 3 3/4 inch figure scale with, say, MP-22? Too big, right?

    Yeah, way too big.

I'm sure there are fans who love this - I think the SDCC Joe sets with Jetfire and Shockwave were well liked, so this would be right up their alley. :thumb

Not for me though, I don't know what I would do with a human that large in my collection.

I do wonder now though, are the movie Human Alliance human figures available for use? Those were decently sized, and I only disliked how during DOTM most of them were nobodies partnered with robot nobodies.

I'm aware current Masterpiece figures are already coming with little Spikes and Daniels, but I think it would be cool if those HA little toys could be repainted into Transformers staple characters. :thumb

It's probably also a case of them wanting to repaint a smaller existing Joe vehicle - after all, people DID want those SDCC GI Joe/Transformers crossover sets enough for there to be a few of them.

They probably just went "who can work as this motorcycle" and Afterburner fit the bill.

    Nope,
Agreed, this is the only problem; Marissa won't work with anything else in the collection. I wonder if the SDCC G.I. Joe/TF exclusives will get a secondary market bump out of this.

No. It says he doesn't transform and he's made from the GI Joe Wheel Blaster.

I think it's a decent reveal. I get why they are doing it as it has some cool appeal behind it, but as a Transformers fan, a non-transforming toy is pretty "meh" to me. It's a cool idea, I'll say that again, but not the "must have" I was hoping for.

Not a bad idea, but I would have preferred a repaint of Wreck-Gar or Arcee/Chromia since they are close to GI Joe scale.

For those wondering, this is what the bike looks like:

Yeah... I've wanted to see human figures like these made for, well, forever. But bundling it with a non-transformable figure (that, naturally, will increase the overall costs for the set)... well, that's not what I've been looking for, and dampens my enthusiasm for this kind of thing considerably. I would have much rather had either 1) a bunch of humans bundled together, or 2) a human bundled with a themed transforming figure (I fully understand that this means that the human and the Transformer could not interact in scale, in most cases).
