Target getting close to stocking TF5 toys?

    IMG_3024.JPG Hopefully this counts as news, I haven't seen it anywhere yet. My local Target in Kirkwood, MO put out a new shelf tag this week.

    Hmm... Actually listed as $30 for the norm, eh? Wonder if that'll carry over to Titans Return.

    I'm actually not too sure about it. Voyagers around my area from Titans Return haven't been doing terribly well (I think I found about eight Alpha Trions, six Galvatrons, and three Astrotrains at one of my Targets), so a price bump might not be the best idea.

    This may only be for the Preview Optimus figure, and is possibly Target exclusive (explains why Target already has shelf space when no one else does).

    It was reported as news, as we know there is a Voyager Preview Prime coming. The fact that Target has a tag up for it isn't news in and of itself. The toy was frontpaged a few weeks back when pictures leaked from China.

    If we just aren't sure it's a target exclusive yet, then waiting makes sense. But otherwise this is absolutely news.

    i shouldn't have to dig through a dcpi thread for a store I rarely shop for transformers at to discover this.

    1) no one said it was a target exlusive.

    2) The toy has been seen in China, and was front paged WEEKS AGO. IT WAS NEWS. The fact that Target has a tag up for it is not news.

    What I don't understand is why they used a previous AOE Optimus Prime mold and passed it off as new. It's not new- it's just a repaint. If they had completely re-designed it with an entirely new mold: Ok, that would make sense- but slapping some dark paint on it doesn't make it new.
