Hum, could actually work, Decepticons have no more all spark to "cure themselves" and Meg got his ass whipped in ROTF so it could actually fit the profile of a bruised up injured robot... Still dont buy

 

Just because he has an abstract Cybertronian altmode, doesn't mean they have to fuck it up. I'm not the biggest fan of that design, but I'd actually like to see them get it right for once. An ROTF Optimus level do-over.

It's true that Hasbro have a bit of a history with half-assing tfs with cybertronian modes, but it doesn't have to be that way.

If they could improve the accuracy, and make a tank/jet triplechanger, they would be on to something.

Yeah, I could actually see it happening like that.

 

Implausible, but with Bay, I won't deny that it is possible. I still call shenanigans though because of Megs' movie personality and it doesn't seem like he'd "stoop that low" so to speak.

The truck is Megatron plain and simple. I was shocked when the info was shared with me. If it is proven wrong the people working on "it" have been lied to...... I wish bay and company would say something....

 

I just wonder what the justification will be as there is still plenty we don't know about the latest movie in regards to story details.

 

Maybe he's rebuilt by the Junkions this time around?

 

Okay, just a thought... I seem to recall the whole going back in time thing for part of this movie, what if this is Megs alt-mode for a previous era?

I'm on board if this really is Megatron. And for those who cry that he would never disguise/hide himself in a human vehicle alt form, If you really think a road warrior-esque, post apocalyptic tanker with spikes and a get the hell outta my way plow is a good way to go un-noticed. I want whatever Kool-Aid you've been drinking! I'm all for it!!

I dunno. I just do not see it working. If it IS Megatron, then when the two leader class toys come out, will prime be one size, and Megatron be a completly different scale in truck mode to accomodate the trailer?

I know, then you say "he wont come with a trailer"

Would they REAAALLLY do that? I just cannot see it. out of every gazillion nouns megatron could be, they pick the same thing as Prime? Two semi trucks, that look similar, just one "mad max-ified" as the two leader class toys? Sure Shockwave may get leader class treatment, but the thought of seeing TWO rigs on the shelf makes me scratch my head.

I said it in an earlier post, but I dont think any one caught on. What if Megatron is ON, or IS the trailer? it has some sawblade of death thing hangin out da back. It IS covered up, hence "Robot in disguise"  

Hasbro had the Prime/Jetfire combiner gimmick with the leaders last time. What is to say that you gotta buy Onslaught, AND Megatron, to get the tractor trailer combo, and then Megatron's a triple changer, that turns into a cannon (to save him as having NO function as a stand alone toy) and Onslaught would man the gun?

Sure its far fetched, but if they made Megatron a rig, and he "sees the light" and helps fight shockwave or something stupid like they did with the Baroness in the Joe movie, Ill puke in my pants.

Its just hard for me to buy, and there seems to be a riddle involved, "megatron is not what you would expect" Mabye were looking at the truck too much...whats the trailer doin there? Is this a tie-in to the new TF toys with weapons that pop out? do all the blades and kibble pop out?

This one is fun to try and think thruogh for me..Im enjoying the debate
