TRU Exclusive? Good. I'm just glad this isn't AD-19 Autobot A. Now AD-19 better be somebody cool.
I still can't believe how much I'd like to have a Rollbar, especially since how cruddy Skids's mold was.
It's been known for a while that the sonic would be a repaint. I don't get all the bitching. It's not that far off from what the vehicle looks like in real life...does it have to be an exact match? Cuz the sonic was a badass transformer in the film right?
Hasbro, Takara, they're basically using the same deco, so don't expect anything new.
My, my, my, have you forgotten the magical work of Reprolabels?
I'm not sure what images you are looking at, looks like a small sporty car to me.
So is this their version of what's coming out in the pack in America, or was the pack shown this?
Agreed. The car is close enough, and that's not even an excuse: with the paintjob it looks great.
This is far from the first toy that gets a slightly altered / inaccurate / different altmode, and I'd say this is only a minor offender. Audi Sideways anyone? Rollbar wasn't even a Transformer in the movie (but he should totally have been Universal Ride Evac! )
Honestly wish this *were* a movie character... save us the utterly headache-inducing boyfriend character and his screen time which added *nothing* to the film but a headscratchingly excessive amount of jailbait talk.
Yea... I don't get it either. So it's not a Sonic. It's still rather close, and the deco is more accurate than a number of movie figures already sport. He's technically the IDW Skids mold, which means he fits with a CHUG line... though that design frankly fits well enough (save for the head) with the Movie figures due to the rather detailed form Skids has in the comics. (and tons of guns)
Cool. I'll repurpose this as my Elite Guard Skids. I'll even buy Elite Guard stickers off reprolabels
The rally car has four doors and this toy mold has two so it really doesn't match.
since Lucky Charms isn't an included accesory complete with Texas law card. it's a huge pass for me.
I still don't get why Hasbro just didn't make use of the Chevrolet license that they have to do this. The car would probably look closer to the actual car from the movie. There is not even a Chevy logo on it.

Hey look, this time it really is the SAME DAMN THING as the one in the Breakout Battle set.
Because it would be a giant waste of money in making a new mold for a movie car that has no robot mode? That would be my guess in any case.
Yeah, if this were one of the earlier films (specifically either Movie 1 or RotF) when non-screen character toys were more prevalent, I could see Hasbro maybe cranking out a licensed toy for it. Nowadays, for a movie line, not so much.
Rollbar really is the perfect soldier.
I think its interesting that his bio was left intact in english and is bigger than the japanese lettering.
At least the artwork got his face right.
I see they still have him mis-transfromed in the product shots. I'm betting dollars to doughnuts he still has the same AWFUL paint job the one in the set did. Gotta hide those ugly missile launchers.
This has kind of rejuvenated my interest in the Breakout Battle set.
Hmm. The missile launchers on my Rollbar seem to be okay....
