That's spinster is the finest Deluxe I have ever seen, just amazing. Kudos Hasbro for making such a spectacular main line figure.

Spinister is the highlight of these pictures although the one at SDCC paint job looked much better. Ratbat is the runner up.

..... Rung is starting to lose its luster. I was just happy with them finally making 1 but now I think I'll hold out until they at least make Legends class version. Frenzy comes with Ratbat but he'll likely stay as a cassette inside of Soundwave, Soundblaster or a bin somewhere.

 

Spinister's colours are bloody lovely but I don't see why they've gone with that randomly applied airbrushed purple on his torso.

It's kind of fitting that the photographer chose Optimus to wield the guy who created the Matrix of Leadership, although Red Alert would've been a good choice as well.

Either way still getting him and Rumble, more minions for Soundwave is always good.

And I don't understand why everybody is going nuts over Spinister. Nothing wrong with the figure, I just don't see anything that makes him special or better than other figures. I personally think his colors look stupid in helicopter mode. When was the last time you saw a PINK military chopper??? How does that work with the whole "disguise" part of Robots In Disguise? If he tries to hide among other choppers on a military base he's going to stick out like crazy. In the movie they immediately identified Blackout by his number, what would they do when they see a pink chopper headed their way?

i mean siege as a whole doesn't really use alternate modes as disguises, they're primarily a means of adapting to an environment, "robots in disguise" is a really brief aspect of most tf stories.

as to why people are going nuts, i personally like it because it takes some of the best elements of other siege figures and blend them into one figure, i dont have any previous attachment but the design looks really cool and the colors on later g1 era characters really pop with contrast

 

Spinister looks AMAZING! Never had him as a kid, nor knew anyone who had him. In fact I only learned about him because of the Marvel comics. He was one of those really hard to find figures (at least for me) in the early days of the internet. I'm glad they made him, and he will go quite well with Quake. Bring on Needlenose!
