How does he scale with a current Generations Leader?

 

Is it too ridiculous to ask for a rerelease of Unite Warriors Computron through the Transformers Encore line?

 

 

Hey now. Yeah, the G1 toys are mostly plastic bricks and I don't collect them, but damned if I wouldn't buy re-releases for my kid if they were reasonable prices. They're great little toys and there's occasionally way more personality in those bricks than the ultra-poseable toys today. Specifically, transformations could be fairly creative without having to worry about where all those wiggly arms and legs are going.

Here's the Year Of the Monkey deco with a bunch of other figs. I believe that Ironhide is current Leader size (or perhaps a smidgeon larger).

 

Already?! That mold's barely cooled. This ridiculous thing is 17 years old.

 

I did enjoy Beast Wars and Machines, but I think the only reissue that’d really thrill me is Bat Primal vs Gator Megs, and maybe TM2 Dinobot.

Though...

I’d rather see Iron Factory, DX9, NewAge, Magic Square or other 3P legends figs of Tigatron, Airazor, Blackarachnia, and Waspinator! ^.^

Alas, I maybe should’ve gotten Animated Waspinator and Perfect Effect’s Blackarachnia, but maybe, possibly the 3P Legends Beast Wars is around the corner...and down the bend, and over the valley beyond...  

 

I dig it! Its one of those molds I've never got and if I was gonna get it I'd probably go with the Encore since I'm in the middle of collecting Encore releases atm

 

Dude. Now there's something I'd definitely go back to Legends scale for - Legends BW. I know, I know - blah blah MP scale, but I'd love for the BW cast to properly scale with my G1 MP guys just for the sake of continuity.

 

Nope. No chance. It's called a Encore line for bringing back old molds. Combiner Wars molds are still being used today. Essentially.

I’m generally gaga for the lilliputian ‘formers, anyway.

So, I hadn’t considered that 3P Legends fuzzy ‘formers would make for a perfect scaling with more mechanical MP ‘bots and ‘cons! Leaving room, of course, for HasTak & 3P MP’s of say Star Sabre or MakeToys’ various forays into other canons.

Occasionally, it might be somewhat off, or perhaps we just have to wonder if Primal is a smallish King Kong or if Megatron is a young T-Rex, for instance. ^.^

 

Ironic that this was one of the last KB Toys exclusives before they went under - and now, KB Toys is coming back - and so is AA Primal.

Great figure, BTW. Maybe a bit too big cause it became a bit cumbersome but regardless - I really regret selling mine during my big purge during the 2009/2010 recession. (And FWIW, don't remind me of Grandus, lol)

Hopefully this release and the rest of overpriced stuff Takara is pushing sells poorly so they get the message

 

so people complain that takara doesnt paint figures better anymore and we get a better painted figure, people complain takara stuff is overpriced but dont realize that imports tend to cost more, seriously what is wrong with our fandom? you want takaras products to fail, which ultimately means you want takara to fail

 

They better keep the Gary Chalk voice chip though! That was the best part. (And why can't we have a Peter Cullen voice chip in an Optimus Prime figure ?)

 

You're out of your mind. I hope this sells like hotcakes so they make more Encore releases, mainly G1. Geewunners like me love older stuff (granted just not Beast Machines stuff)
