I got my Jazz yesterday. That was a pretty fun transformation. I like the whole double spin for the torso. The only thing I don't love is the limitation on his bicep curl.

Darn, I was really hoping Takara would come through with some extra silver paint like the promo pics appeared to have. I shouldn't be surprised though with the brand unification. Why won't they give the MPM line the attention and paint coverage that the MP line gets :(

I'll get Jazz eventually but I'm not in a rush now

the mpms are cheap compared to MP of the Same size in other lines. Less paint is probably a factor.

that said he looks great and I don’t see where he would need any more paint

Just received mine. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think this is the first MPM to be packaged in a full clamshell like the G1 and BW MPs. DA75D4CE-1B67-4383-8324-87C55A89FEE3.jpeg

Got my MPM-9 Jazz yesterday. I think he looks great!! I like the paint on it. I know the Takara version has more silver paint throughout but I like it that his unpainted parts make parts of him appear darker. His knee and thigh joints are the typical Hasbro weak joints... nothing a little Future cannot fix. I do wish his possibility was a bit better but I guess the Bayverse designs limit that.
Overall, I’m quite pleased with him. Now can we get Ratchet please??? (Studio Series Ratchet used in 2nd pic)

Even great toys get knocked off, and improvements are always possible.

so, this guy arrived today, and i’m not sure what to think. i like his engineering and thought the hood conversion is clever, but i can’t stand his feet - there is almost no articulation there whatsoever, movie-accurate or not. there’re a few areas where the paint is slightly botched, and there’re a lot of joints i’ll need to apply future to tighten them up. he’s a figure that definitely looks better when posed, as his a-stance doesn’t impress me as much as other figures for some reason, but his limited feet articulation doesn’t help posing, so yea...

ill have to spend more time with him to see if he grows on me, but i think the deeper i get into the mpm line the more the bay designs turn me off. im usually a completionist, but my ho-hum reception of ironhide, and my lack of interest in megatron (i can’t get over his simple transformation) isn’t selling me on continuing down the mpm path.

I don't understand how with a figure that large he still has such a bulky backpack. I really wish that Hasbro and Takara world break this habit with movie characters.

I want this figure badly. But I'm worried about Altmode Scale. Botmode scale no problem.
He may be scaled with MPM Bee in car mode.

But does he scale well with MPM-6 and MPM-4?
What I know MPM-4's truck mode is underscaled compared to MPM-3's carmode.

So that makes MPM-4 is also underscaled to MPM Jazz.
    I don't know about MPM-6.

That's why I bought BMB LS-03 or OS KO MPM-4.
Because MPM-4 can't locked in to truck mode. And we know it's a cursed mold and Has-Tak is still silent about the issue.

LS-03's Truck scales well with Camaro but in Bot mode, Prime's crotch is way above MPM-3's head unlike the legit MPM-4 which is within BB's head.

So I'm still on the fence which version of MPM Ironhide I will get.
MPM-6 or LS-09 Weaponeer due to overall scale issues in both modes.
