In a nutshell, he looked awesome. Very posable and very satisfying.

    pros:
    - Here is huge
    - There is a good hef him
    - Very posable
    - Cartoon accurate
    - Strong joints
    - sturdy construction
    - Die cast in sole and cannons.
    - Vehicle mode is dead on. Pretty much perfect transformation aside the weapons.

    cons:
    - He can't really grip his sword.
    - Saber's poseability is quite limited waist down

That is all I can observe at the moment.

    For now, pics!

I wish I was onboard with this, or even knew he was. I'm so embarrassed to admit that. :/

The figure has a little bit more articulation than a standard voyager (the hands, more or less), but it really does not look like something that should be classified as a Masterpiece.
Don't get me wrong, it looks striking and rather beastly, but it isn't any more impressive than a better-quality voyager like Sandstorm or Evasion Optimus.
Also, no one's going ape-shit over the smaller robot's hollow arms?

I think you need to take into account his design, he is huge, he has a front skirt, his shoulders and forearms are ridiculously large even compared springer/sandstorm, his gimmick takes up his entire chest, he is wearing a helmet, he's uber screen accurate, he is really heavy (for a transformer), and yet he still retains a good amount of articulation and a faultless alt mode (granted its not based on anything but the art)

And I for one am not freaking out about sabers hollow arms because he isn't the main draw

There is very little to improve upon, given the limitations of the design and inclusion of the gimmicks, basically just the hands I think

And no I'm not saying its impossible to improve upon him, just that anyone who does try, will have their work cut out for them, as far as anything beyond minor improvements are concerned at least

Whatever though, just my opinion :)

PS I miss the Donnie Darko looking rabbit avatar

Oh, I can agree that it's a good looking figure, but I'm just not seeing the 'wow' factor. That and with all the constant whining about hollow forearms in the mainlines, I'm thinking many will just happen to overlook the fact that a masterpiece has them as well.

Yeah, I liked the demon goat avatar a lot, but Cthulhu must be obeyed.

Looks great man. Thanks for the review!

He's cartoon accurate, clean in both modes, features all the gimmicks the original had, good articulation and he's huge! Seems Masterpiecy to me.

I will admit that I am impressed with his size and he does look pretty good, but given I don't know anything about the character as my G1 Transformers knowledge/love only goes into the third season of the U.S. cartoon.

If this was a new huge figure of something like Galvatron or a Dinobot outside of Grimlock, I'd be gushing all over about great it is. So maybe that plays a factor for you as well.

As it stands, it's cool, but not for me. I'll be waiting for MP Tracks.

Quick question: how does the little YukinoBrain figure scale with Voyager Brainstorm's headmaster?

Great pictures as always TC! I agree with the feedback! If I have a gripe its that the sword is chrome, which will tarnish over time in my country.

Can't say I blame ya. Growing up, I watched the toon and other than the nice animation, the engrish dub was quite unbearable for me.

Star Saber was a cool character but he comes across as a 'distant' cousin of Optimus Prime and Gundam.

For those who have him in hand, what's the large sword handle like? It just looks fragile in the photos I've seen so far, a length of plastic that long and thing is likely to break especially if Star Saber took a tumble off a shelf.

I'm hoping it's reinforced with a metal pin like CW Optimus & Silverbolt's weapon handles.

What are the antennae on Star Saber's head made of? Again they look a little fragile. I know the guns out the front of the larger jet are metal.
