It's so funny that you would say that, because in my head as a kid, he couldn't be Optimus with Primal around. So I renamed the character "Nightscream" (before Beast Machines ruined that idea for me, with a bat no less) and he was Primal's original sidekick, before Cheetor came along. Ah I see you mean without the tail. If you look at this photo the diameters of the handles of sword and tail look about the same (though the sword peg is shorter), so in theory it could be possile - especially with 5 individually articulated fingers to help hold it if the fit isn't so tight.

That sounded a bit more asshole-ish than it needed to be, although I hope you weren't serious. Anyone who prefers to buy domestically has the right to do so, it's their choice, they have reasons for it. They pay more, but get some comfort in return that makes it worth it to them.

However, coming in the MP-threads and mentioning a domestic offering while ranting about the price won't help your argument, there's no way around that. Either take the MSRP from Takara or the discounted price of Japanese retailers as a guide, because that's the price of the figure and not your local retailer's offering that varies based on exchange rates and import fees.

 

If I think I know anything about primal sabbeth here, he is really really really non-serious about most things transformers. I can hear his voice speaking that very sentence and none of it seems asshole-ish to me. I guess it's because I listen to multiple podcasts that he hosts regularly so that helps.

 

This figure better not have a "specific" transformation problem like MP Movie Optimus Prime.

Meh. I prefer ordering from stores in the States. Especially from BBTS, even though their prices can be a bit high, I’ve found it to be worth it over the years. Their customer service is top notch.

 

The potential benefit of ordering domestically is if you get a faulty or damaged product - theoretically, dealing with domestic customer service for an exchange/ return would be easier with a domestic retailer than an overseas one
