If that is the case, then 25k+ yen is now the new standard price point for leader size MPs from Takara.

 

He’s not far off MP-10, comparing my Primal to him.

Primal’s backpack goes up to the bottom of MP-10’s window panels when I transform him with the legs splayed out like that.

Wait, THAT'S THE BASE? I was expecting more for what would essentially be a $60-80 display base. Shit, I can get plenty of bases like that for like $20. No Takara, that package isn't worth an extra $100. Fuck you for ruining something I've waited my entire TF fandom for. Absolute bullshit. This just means an MP Megatron will be ever closer to $300, another "grail" item I refuse to get.

I hate to say it but I guess I'm waiting for the KO on him and Megs then. Fuck....

Im thinking the same thing. We’ve been saying all along it’ll be easier to wait once we have pictures. It’s not getting easier!

 

Probably cause they only have a handful of production pieces and aren't ready for mass production. Better to pump out a few and then ship them before shipping a couple at a time and filling orders at a trickle.

It's much easier now that we know what it looks like with paint, what it will include and when it will come out.

Now the waiting is fun again instead of a stupid guessing game.

I think we should call them wizards rather than the lowly title of designer. They are far beyond being a mere designer.

 

Robot mode looks great aside from a few nitpicks, but beast mode leaves a lot to be desired. I get that they had to sacrifice some things for a good bot mode, but look how exposed he is on the rear.

 

That question can go both ways.Is that like a "he's not supposed to be that much bigger than primal" or a "I don't like him being bigger than primal"

The truth is he IS that big in the show.That's a solid fact and I like that idea since predacons were usually larger than maximals and dinobot was a predacon at the start.

 

Well...that looks amazing. There was little doubt I was going to pre-order this but this confirms it. That's not to say I don't have a few issues heh and there, I would have liked a more expressive beast face, the peg holes in his hands are unfortunate and he looks a little more rotund in Robot mode than I'd like but I guess thats unavoidable. However the robot mode is so spot on, so glorious I would never forgive myself if I didn't get one. I can't wait to get hold of one!

Yeah I really don't like it one bit. I have a similar stand of my own that I got for use with Primal should I wish to pose him leaping about. It's a nice extra but with the price as high as it is I cant help but think they could have shaved of a couple of hundred Yen by leaving it out and made his price in line with MP-38. Either way its by no means a deal breaker.

What everyone says with eatery BW MP reveal, I'm afraid we will have to get used to this. The robot mode is always the priority (as it should be) and beast modes leave designs less places to hid things than vehicles. Once again I'm surprised he looks as clean as he does.
