Sucks that legs won't open. Ah well, he's gonna be robot mode 99.9% of the time anyway.

 

I'm still after LG-31 just for the head. I'd prolly fork over $100 bucks for that.

 

What??!!! Am I reading this right? It seems lots of you are saying the Takara Fort Max's legs CAN'T open up because they permanently GLUED IT SHUT??? That fucking sucks. What a bullshit unnecessary move.

 

What the hell Takara? That's such a weird-ass thing to do. It's more effort in the factory for something that literally did not matter.

 

I hope that's not true.

Man, that takes away A LOT of the fan mode playability.

It was my boys b-day, one of his presents was Takaras Fortress Maximus, you can see his head here in the pic I attached. He LOVED IT when the theme song started playing

 

So the legs are glued shut, nor are the eyes actually red unless the batteries are on? Wow, this just keeps getting better and better  

 

It's totally true. Tried and tried, and couldn't open them. Peeked inside with help of a flashlight, and I could see the glue globbed around the pegs. Good news is, the glue appears to be just on the pegs. Gonna see if I can cut the pegs later today.

While it's disappointing, I can understand why Takara did it, it's not a feature this mold uses, and ultimately results is a solid, more stable leg.

Yeah, youhedix stop-motion animation skills are top-notch.

 

They eyes are painted or molded in clear red, it's just something you can't see as the overall darkness takes over.

The eyes light up though.

Except hip guns are out of the norm of the Legends releases so far, coming with just the Legends figure and a Titanmaster pack-in.

 

My friend brought over his TT Fort Max and Fortress actually looked rather plain as a result of the anime accurate colors, being the same color grey in both the torso and the legs with only a little silver to break it all up. It surprised me how much I liked my Hasbro version in contrast. Obviously, the deco on the larger figure was far and above superior...but Takara's head was disappointing.

 

Tamara gluing the legs together is such a giant fuck you. They aren't any more stable or whatever because of it. There was zero reason to do so.

 

Also, assuming it's similar to the US toy's soundboard, there IS a hack you can do by triggering the city mode button at the right time to keep the eyes lit up.

 

Yean man....I mean, I NEVER get into Has vs Tak debate wars....I just accept them both for their own entities, and merely chose the one I like most. The end.
Having said that....this glue move is a gigantic kick in balls; Hasbro wins hands down. (but like I said, I don't chose sides  )
