    Hello all!

I've just seen the listing (with lot of high-quality official photos) for upcoming Encore and ROTF products from Takara at Hobby Search:

    Takara Action Figures

I don't remember this being posted here, so I think it can be helpful...

The Starscream pictured there has the pop out arm cannons and extra hand joint that would have allowed the hands to fold away and hide in jet mode.

Wonder if that's just for promotional purposes, or if it'll be final product. If that's the final I'm gettin a takara screamer.

I know that. I'm just pointing it out for anyone who wants to see a big clear picture of it.

Plus this actually shows that it was physically done on the toy and did not just show up in his instructions.

I had a look at the instructions again : I think the decision to drop the hand articulation, was done pretty soon after prototype pitch.

If you look closely at the highres stock photo, you can also see he was supposed to have a kneecap hinge. Now it is just a single mold plastic piece.

Still... despite these cutbacks...I think rotf Starscream will be a magnificent TF toy. Hoping to buy 2 on day 1. Maybe a Premium extra down the line.

Yea, I looked at the pic of screamer again. That stock photo is so great. Wish we were getting the final of the proto. Those extra little joints woulda proven to be an awesome addition to the figure I think. To bad hastak took em off. Oh well.

They probably made the cuts so the Leader can be shown as the ultimate Starscream.

Leader Class Prime has had some cutbacks, too. His hands originally had articulated fingers (like the 2007 toy), we all know his tool boxes on his legs were supposed to fold away more neatly, and the rear truck wheels on his hips used to transform - the inner set of wheels would have gone inside the outer set of wheels to create those thin tires seen on Prime's design (in the movie itself, the inner set of rear wheels expanded so the outer set fit inside them). On the final toy, he just has these fat, hollow plastic tires.

Looking forward to it. Maybe it will be the Leader Brawl of this line.

As am I. I meant Brawl on a weapons basis. But yeah, I hope it has the same level of complexity and awesomeness as Leader Prime.
