    HLJ?

    Wow, that's pretty cool.

    Pricey, but cool nonetheless.

Well, it's still likely to be cheaper than what BBTS will charge. If it's close, I'll just go with BBTS.

Now, will repaints of CW limbs into Energon Drones follow?

We can only hope, though I fear the prices. Maybe hold off and do them slowly... Wait until we get the theorized Nosecone retool from Rook for the drill. Alpha Bravo for the copter. Maybe First Aid for the fire truck. The sub... Could really be replaced with anything.

Well I'll be damned, that's really interesting/weird to see HLJ offering it. Threw in a preorder for the hell of it at that price since I was expecting something higher at BBTS.

It's the cover for the comic not the box. eHOBBY's page had that same image up too. :)

They'll probably reveal the box later on.

Was HLJ the only place to do that? Is there a decent chance Amiami would do it too?
Also did HLJ include the comic with Magnus?

Agreed though technically Nexus Prime is a SG Combiner. :p  With that said Nexus Prime would easily be a perfect BotCon box set.

That price seems good all things considered.

i would not mind a new Nexus Prime (even though I'm happy with the originally; finally completed him last month). As a boxed set it would of course be four deluxes and a voyager (which while it did happen with the stunticons is still less than what we've been getting 2008 onward with at least two voyagers or a voyager and an ultra or even an extra deluxe as we got in 2012.) I wonder how they'd try and pull it off actually.

I don't think AmiAmi ever offered Magnus (at least I don't recall them doing so, and there's no old listing for it on their site despite all the original Alternity listings still being up). Normally I'd say no...but I didn't expect HLJ to do this, so I suppose anything's possible. It's still not something I'm expecting to happen though.

I forget, can the club do Nexus Prime toys/stories again? I vaguely remember Hasbro not wanting them to make further Nexus Prime stories because Nexus is part of the 13 and Hasbro didn't want any conflict between their stuff (or something to that effect). Am I misremembering, or has that impediment gone away and the Club's able to create more Nexus Prime stuff if they want to?

Club could do a wreckers combiner then, pyro from hotspot, rotorstorm from ab, ironfist from rook or first aid, guzzle from brawl, leadfoot from dragstrip or rack n ruin from one of the jets, I think they were originally meant to have an areal mode.

Yes, and I don't know why they did as there have been plenty of others they skipped. I doubt other Japanese retailers will carry it since it's something easily obtained in Japan.

As for the comic, I can't recall. I have it but I ordered one from HLJ and one from another shop. One came with it and the other didn't. I think the HLJ one did because it was direct from eHOBBY while the other place got theirs from an Asian retailer and it didn't include the comic.

He's up at BBTS... for $89.99.

So even with shipping, he's a little cheaper at HLJ.

I'm interested in this figure especially if some limbs come along for him but being one of the po' folks who's budget conscious can someone tell me why he's $90 at BBTS? All this is is another Motormaster repaint (let's face it that mold was intended for MM) so why so expensive? Are these E-Hobby or whatever ones limited edition or something?

They're limited Japanese exclusives. eHOBBY figures tend to be made to order, so whatever the order amount is, is what is made.

So he's 6,500 Yen in Japan. Which is around $55. But that's if you order direct from eHOBBY, which unless you live in Japan you can't order direct.

HLJ is selling him, but at at roughly $7 - $8 premium for what eHOBBY is initially asking.

BBTS (and the like) has to factor in going through a middle man, as it seems none of the US retailers get their stuff direct from TakaraTomy of Japan but Hasbro Asia.

Even beyond that, this is an exclusive from eHOBBY (located in Japan) and even if they had a direct account with TakaraTomy they would likely still have to go through eHOBBY.

So in short, think of it this way, before it gets to BBTS (and the like) it has to go through a middle man who orders direct from eHOBBY. So take on the middleman's fee and any shipping fees from Japan to the US.

So the $55 price before shipping, adding in the middleman's fee, and then factoring in BBTS (etc) has to make a profit off of it, the $90 price starts to become more understandable.
