Pledge Future (or whatever it's been rebranded as) dripped into those joints will do the trick. I use a toothpick to drip it on the joint then move the joint about a dozen times to work it in there. I repeat a half hour or so later. Let it sit 24 hrs and it'll be nice n firm.

This poor dude has been under harsh critics but I love him and think he's a real masterpiece. The front view is the view that definitely needs the less compromise !

BTW, anyone know the yellow paint for BBv2 ? :)

I haven't recieved them yet but I'm curious why they're licensed, it didn't need to be in order to be show accurate so it seems like they spent extra effort for nothing

Great shot! I was scrolling back a few pages and came across this. If you already answered I do apologize, but where did you get those, "energon tubes" from?

Someone a while back said Tamiya Lemon Yellow is a close enough match for small touch ups. I bought the paint and thinner but I have not actually tested it yet. I’ve never painted any part of an MP before so I’m procrastinating.

If you use a brush is it necessary to have a thinner ?

Good question! Like I said I’ve never painted anything like this before. But I believe @Jarrod or someone else mentioned that using a thinner will help when using a brush. Won’t leave as many visible brush strokes etc.

My paint chip is pretty small so I bought a pointy brush and I plan to thin the paint a bit and attempt to put the paint only in the chip. And doing more than one coat if needed to fill the chip.

I know from using touch up paint pens on cars that this is harder than it sounds. That’s why when I get a new car now I get one of those invisible clear wraps on the front to avoid getting stone chips in the first place! :)

I know lots of great comparison pics have been taken and posted so forgive me for adding to the pile. I'll be gifting 21 to a buddy so I wanted to take the opportunity before this little guy moves on. Unless one absolutely can't get over 45's heels and is just really jonesing for a realistic orange Beetle, it doesn't take "mental gymnastics" to see 45 is an improvement in every way - even the backpack! Then again, 45 is overpriced, but I've definitely already gotten $87 worth of enjoyment out of both my copies and then some. I was mildly let down with his reveal due to his feet and initially underwhelmed upon receiving him, but he quickly won me over and is easily my third favorite MP (behind Optimus and Megatron).

Still impressed with how 45 achieves the opposite of 21. Where 21 takes a longer, realistically proportioned car and turns it into a squat now borderline CHUG-y bot, 45 takes a G1 cartoon, comic book and toy accurate chibi car that's at least 25% smaller and turns him into a much more evenly proportioned humanoid bot that's more accurate to the cartoon and comics a half head taller. Love this figure!

Couldn't have said it better ! My only gripe would be like with many mps, ie paint chipping because I like to mess about with them quite a lot. Hope I can use some paint fix. Will probably buy another copy anyway.

I love your photos of both of them together, they both are really neat toys and your photos do them both justice. Funny that I never realized that MP-21 has a Driver's side mirror till now.

Luckily I managed to get MP-45 for $60ish when Amazon Japan was clearing out their supply which makes the price a non-factor for me.

Mine does have a couple of nicks, too, but they're not really noticeable in hand compared to photos. I'd also like to buy another copy - and I already have two!

Thanks, brother! Man, $60's a steal on this guy - wish I'd gone for a third copy for that price!

Yeah I got extremely lucky to get it for that price. Especially since I cancelled my pre-order from them to pay for Hound (which I sent back). So in the end I got Bumblebee, like the Universe wanted.

Edit: Also lucky that you didn't snag it at that price before I managed to get mine. Just kidding here.

Got this guy in today. My first MP since I sold all of mine 6-7 years ago. I like him. He’s fiddly but looks great. Most impressed with the arm design and articulation. Not sure I’ve ever seen a full 180 degree joint right below a shoulder above the bicep. Very cool.

Disappointed in the limited hip articulation though. Unless I’m not transforming the back properly, causing the back bumper piece to catch the hips. It only has like 15 degrees in either direction.

And some proper pics of Bumblebee and taking his place amongst my soon to be growing exponentially TF collection.

If you are using acrylic paint, you won't need thinner... just add a little water and do multiple coats.
