"This is the best of all possible Bumblebees."
Lol. I just knew the quote, googled it and came across a page discussing the attribution. That seemed to conclude Evelyn said it so that’s what I went with. Pure luck it was right. Glad I was able to contribute to everyone’s education (including my own)
Late at uploading this. Added official Ocean design anime style sigil.
I don't know if it's the face, or the poses everyone puts this toy in, but everything about it screams "the big kids being extra nice to the special needs kid."
Really great shots dude
Don't fear, we'll be extra nice to you too.
Thank you! I really appreciate the comment. I need to thank my kids again for their help. They are 3 and 6 and yeah, the 6 yr old helped more but they are both great inspiration.
Thank you for posting the magnet mod for the figures. I tried it out for myself and liked it so much that I went and modded all of them! 16 figures modded so far, including a couple of customized ones. Also made a tutorial on my page as well. Many blessings to you my friend!
Even gave Chip Chase butt magnets to stick him to his wheelchair!
Butt magnets wins the internet today!!
Awesome! I was thinking I'd do the same but haven't had time yet to do any besides 45 Spike. Were the adult Spike and Daniel figures from MP-22 easier due to the difference in material their feet are made from (compared to 45 Spike)?
Also, I see you even modded Raoul and removed his stand! Nice job!
Cheers and blessings to you, my friend!
New to the forum and have a question about MP-45's color. I received him today and I was expecting the yellow to be more lemon-like. After all, this is supposed to be like the cartoon, where Bumblebee was a true yellow. Instead, MP-45 appears to be orange/yellow like I remember MP-21 to be, but who I no longer own. I did find a review online that poses MP-21 next to MP-45 and there is clearly a difference. I also made an effort to check this thread to see if there were similar observations, but there was a lot to dig through.
My questions are: Is there really a distinct difference in the paint between Bumble 1.0 and 2.0, and if so, did any members here receive what they would describe as a true yellow (lemon) copy of 2.0?? My initial reaction after opening the package was that mine was a knockoff or something. I was very surprised....
I'd recommend posting a picture. Camera and viewing screens will differ, so try to ensure plenty of light (not harsh light though). Then use the 'upload a file' button followed by the 'full size' option.
That way we can see what you've got and whether it's drastically different to our own.
Oh, and welcome to TFW!
Do you run a store or is that your personal collection? You've got a ton of the same figures that I have! GGG Mikoto, Saber Lily, KOS-MOS, Dead Master... even that Goblin-kun figure.
Hopefully just your eyes playing tricks on you. I just opened mine last week and had similar thoughts seeing him in certain lights, but standing him next to my MP-21 it's a very obvious difference. Here are mine together.
He's definitely a proper yellow - I wouldn't say lemon yellow so much as buttercup yellow, but whereas MP-21 was orange, MP-45 is a true yellow. If you stand him next to Sunstreaker, you will see that Bumblebee is yellower, with Sunstreaker appearing more orange when placed next to him.
Just comparing the Mp-45 in your picture and mine in the post just before yours, yours does look a bit more bright yellow to me. I guess I can compare mine to Sunstreaker and try my own comparison shot later.
Thank you for the helpful replies. I transformed him, and while I can't stand him next to MP-21, here's a comparison of yellows with Sunstreaker. I still wish Bumblebee was true yellow, but I guess that's just not how he was painted. Maybe the lighting of the review I watched simply made him seem yellower than he is.
It could easily just be lighting, but it does look to me like your Bumblebee yellow is a shade darker than ambitron 's in his picture.
