Your sarcastic admission of defeat is noted.

Whatever makes your life easier for you. Still a “He tell me” story.

No, it’s not a “He tell me” story. That situation with Ghost of Optimus Prime was very different from how @oku is handling this.

You’ve both made your points, can you two please either take this conversation to PMs or just respectfully agree to let it go?

Finally got the MP-45 Bumblebee done. Getting the LED wiring from his feet to his torso was extremely tricky. Got 2x SMD eyes, 1x SMD blast effect and 2x 5mm headlights. Chest was painted blue from the inside-- looks so much better in my opinion. Also added a pair of Hobby Base 1/144 Rounded Hands PPC-T95 (Grey). Added a pin to the gun so it will stay locked onto the hands. I'm pretty happy with how this guy turned out; stay tuned for more fun stuff. God bless you everyone!

Did anyone ever find a decent brush paint that matches the yellow?

No turning back now. Operation Magnet Boots is under way!

Update: Operation complete! No-hat Spike now has magnetic feet!

Installation went pretty well, though I did smoosh his boots a bit from having them in my tiny vice grip (actually a photo clamp). The magnets are pretty flush with the boot soles, though they do protrude very slightly (by a small fraction of a millimeter).

It took a very steady hand with a rotary tool and a 1/32” drill bit to drill holes large enough and deep enough for the 1/16” magnets. The lower legs are made from clear plastic, which made me a bit nervous and also made it difficult to distinguish the hole’s diameter from paintless plastic around the edge. If I were to do it again, I’d get magnifying glasses to help me see better at this scale.

Once I had the hole drilled out to the right diameter and depth, I inserted the magnet and tapped it into place with a hammer and an allen wrench. I ended up chipping the plating on the magnets a little, but there’s nothing I can do about that now — they’re lodged tightly into the boots!

    “Nice boots, bro!”
“Thanks! I saw yours and just had to have a pair of my own.”

This is not a procedure for the faint of heart or those with unsteady hands. For those who want to carry it out themselves, here’s the magnets you’ll need (and the drill bit photobombed the shot):

When I mentioned recently that I was going to do this upgrade, @fschuler made this request…
… so here you go, my friend! :)

After hanging mp44 Prime and mp Hound, why didn't TT give BB a side to side neck joint, think he would be the whimsical one that would have bendefited from it.

My Bumblebees left leg won't turn when transforming to robot mode. You can see in the photos there is a piece that blocks it from turning. It makes the leg crooked too.

This piece is not on the right leg which turns freely. 20191229_080703.jpg
I've tried forcing it but it will break with more pressure.

Anyone else have this issue? Going to be a pain to send back to Nippon-Yasan but I don't see any way to fix it since it's held together by pins.

Thanks! After I started I definitely had some fear that it wasn’t going to work, or that I’d slip up and destroy the feet, but I had to keep going.

Luckily, it turned out pretty well and not too bad for my first time using a rotary tool. Throughout the process, I kept thinking “so this must be kind of what it’s like being a dentist”. :D

If you have handled mp44 and mp47 then you'll get what I'm saying cause they are in hinges and not a ball joint.

The flap has been bent and needs to be bent back 90 degrees. Here's a quick photoshop of what you need to do. A heat gun would help to heal the stressed plastic after bending back. Hope that helps!

Many thanks for that advice, I can see that now. I'm out now so can't post a photo but the problem I have is removing the pin underneath the leg which holds all that together. Any idea how to get that out and then put back in please?

This is the pin I am talking about.
    20191229_124719.jpg
There is a track it slides across that I have tried to use a thin screwdriver in to remove the pin but it won't budge. If I have start using a soldering iron that's beyond my skill set. Guess I'll have to send it back to Japan.

I don't understand how that piece of plastic was bent in the first place and why the assembler tried to ram it all in? Oh and the box was double taped so the QC checks didn't even pick it up.
