Anyone seen the alternate foot transformation? It looks a lot better, the heels become shorter.

It isn’t, which is why the childish “they did therefore we should to” mentality is dumb. Having actually watched the video in full from a mostly non biased view, dude makes some Points, and funny enough pokes fun at those who defend the figure with a blind rage (a stereotype which these forums only help build upon). the rest of it is subjective and whether or not it’s good is up to the individual, which of course isn’t considered subjective at all here. As to the person that posted it, they had no intention of trashing it, so the excuse you are trying to use falls through already.

Engineering magic! But the magic is also limited to the final form the figure they are aiming for. Sometimes it comes out great, sometimes, not so great. MP Ironhide (Winnebago to that great humanoid form), Inferno mold (Ladder and crane voodoo), Sunstreaker( with and without block engine), Dinobot (fake head on chest but anime accurate) and Beast Megs (panels yet still anime/show accurate) to name a few. The best being MP-44( knee issues aside ).

V2 is already history done. I wonder what can be done for V3 in the future?

They make good comedy like Starscream. Really now, if it was a fair amount of criticism its fine but some individuals just need validation of their continuous existence in this mortal coil.

A guy in the Facebook group for masterpiece and 3rd party sales posted some overtures of it, but I'm at work so I haven't saved any of the shots to repost them. I know he had the wheels angled up towards the rear instead of flat, but I can't mess with mine until I get home.

I think most or even all of us here who've said they love this figure have also pointed out that the heels are ugly and TT gouged his price. Most of the hyperbole I've seen in this thread is from sad and hacky drive-by troll jobs who act like this figure is a dumpster fire and anyone who digs it is lying to themselves or a mindless, tasteless idiot. Plenty of us have listed the pros and cons and found the pros (articulation, transformation, gimmicks, aesthetics/sculpt/color/personality/G1 cartoon likeness, fun/playability) to far outweigh the cons (price, heels, busy backpack). Mind blowing concept: It's entirely possible to love something flawed. Thank God for it or my wife never would've married me.

We are not in denial alright! The figs aren't perfect. Life ain't perfect. We go forward as life goes on. Repeatedly rewarding Takara for their missteps, so the alternative is what? Going 3P? I get what Jobby postulated, but in fairness, they WILL listen to their domestic customers. That's the JP way. They will listen. Poke the domestic fans too much at their peril (they don't give a sh't on gaijins though)

I tried that. It wasn’t much of an improvement really, and felt like it was forcing parts into places they weren’t designed to be. You may feel differently, but I decided to just stick with the intended transformation.
