Having finally transformed MP-45, I can state the following:

    - He looks nice in robot mode
    - The backpack and feet are not as bad in person (mostly because he is pretty small)
    - There are some paint scratches on the forhead and wait, but nothing major

    - He has a pretty loose left leg (both directions forward/backward, inward/outward)
    - His waist rotation is pretty loose
    - His head does not lock in
    - His right should has some locking mechanism that the other one does not
    - He feels very light and fragile

Overall, he has the looks but not the feel of a Masterpiece figure in my opinion.
For me, personally, it is okayish since I mostly just display my figures, but the price is definitely too much more what is being offered.

Price is most definitely too much. At £80 He was £5 more than I paid for Sunstreaker. I'd say he's worth £60 at the very most.

But he is a quality figure and I'm having alot of fun with him :)

Also he's quite robust. Not that I want to make a habit of dropping him, but my daughter managed to knock him flying off the table yesterday. I picked him up and was amazed to see him unscathed.

For those who have loose joint issues, I posted this a few pages back:

Maybe give this Kiki joint repair solution a try. I stumbled upon this recently (can be found on ebay, I believe it comes from Vietnam) and have found it to work much better than Future floor polish. I've used it on some action figures to good effect, and also tightened up my MP-44's waist and bicep swivels with it.

My MP-45's elbow and lower knee joints, as well as hip forward/backward swivel were a bit looser than I liked, so I used this to tighten them up. So far it has worked pretty well.

So after a couple of transformations, I'm liking MP-45 a lot. Now, I can't really defend it against the negative comments I've seen on it, as I actually agree with most of the problems people have pointed out on this figure. However, I just find both modes to look really good now that I have it in hand. The robot mode backpack really doesn't look that terrible once all the panels are aligned. The feet looked like a hot mess in pictures I've seen before, but even though it basically looks the same in person, for some reason it just doesn't bother me. And I just can't resist the oversized Choro-Q beetle alt mode.

Objectively I'd say it's a $30~40 figure with a $10 coat of paint, so whatever we're paying for it now is grossly overpriced. However, once in hand and forgetting the dollar amount attached to it, I find it to be a charming little figure that totally look like Bumblebee just walked out of the cartoon. So regardless of the value proposition, which I admit is pretty bad, I'm pretty glad to have it in my collection.

    Who could resist this?

The English instructions on that is real bad, LOL. I think they're trying to say let it stand for 24 hours to cure or something. This Kiki solution is not glue so it won't bind any joints. Once it dries or cures, even if the joint appear to be "stuck", you can easily free it up by moving it. I've used it on CHUG, MP, Figuarts, and Bandai SOC so far with varying results. It will not make the joint "stuck". Worse case is that it doesn't improve joint tightness at all, but in most cases I've noted an appreciable amount of improvement in joint tightness.

Can you give some explanation on how to use it? I am not sure what I need to do.

Do I need to dissassmble the toy? If so, how would I start doing this. The leg joints are pinned and not screwed.

So I opened my Bumblebee. Did I get two of the same face? A77E4967-B9AC-4235-8B57-BB25C5E6639E.jpeg

First impression: not impressed. The paint is poorly applied and scratched right out of the box. The extensive use of clear plastic on transformation hinges is concerning....

I think Bee looks good in bot mode, but mine has several issues.
    • The paint is either too thick or too thin in places
    • Several scratches out of the box and flaking in other areas
    • Hair or fuzz under the paint on the fender
    • Flops around like a ragdoll. Hip joints and ankles are loose AF
    • Panels won't stay tabbed in vehicle mode
    I'm pretty disappointed overall.

So I have been sitting here all day messing with this little fella, and I have to say I love him. I could care less about his back kibble because with all the posing and messing about with him, I forgot it was even there. That to me, is all that matters. I am so happy I picked him up.

Iirc figma did the same thing to the 1st Blackrock Shooter, clear plastic connector on her upper torso joint. Ended badly for most figs. I pray mine won't end up the same.

Looking at all the complaints above, I've been saying this for some time:

There are no bad figures, there are only bad prices.

You’d be forgiven for thinking so. I wish they hadn’t stamped a painted smile over the lips of the closed-mouth face (the left-most face in your picture), but there you go. Here’s the regular face without the stamped-on smile:
