What is going on? Sudden info on MP Bumblebee 2.0 but hardly any on Hound before his sudden appearance a while back?

That & it’s also the 35th anniversary of Transformers, what better (business) way to celebrate than with newer versions of the most iconic G1 characters?

Who are probably the biggest G1 characters? I’d wager Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron (who was recently available & still possible to pick up) & i’d also add Starscream to the list.

As much as I’d love a Masterpiece G1 Jazz, Cliffjumper or Blaster with his cassettes, if there’s another G1 Masterpiece figure this year it does make business sense it’d probably be Starscream. Imagine how many variations/seekers they’ll release this time!

If this rumour does turn out to be true, then a cartoon accuate Clifjumper is very likely.

What will sell Bee to me is increased knee range of motion(found limitations when posing my MP21G) and also THAT FACE. Make it look like that round faces friendly bee from the cartoon and maybe...just maybe...I'll be sold on the price.

Also have a backpack that isn't hollow this time and maybe a helipack to homage the cartoon or Action Master...one of them had it...oh yea his BFG from the Pretender too because let's cover all bases.

If it’s superdeformed, like the G1 cartoon, they don’t need to.

I don’t remember a better year for MP’s really. 2019 is going to be amazing. 3 completely new molds (IF bee comes out this year) and 2 + versions that look like new figures IMO.

    Amazing!

I've given this some thought and I'm coming to the same conclusion. I don't think Bumblebee 2.0 with have any (or very many) faux parts. At his size, it will be hard to find places to store the faux parts, and more importantly, the purpose of faux parts has always been to make the alt mode look more realistic, which chibi Bumblebee won't need. They can focus exclusively on the robot mode proportions and the car mode will just look however it ends up looking.

I'd say like many others did give us a decent Cliffy out of the new Bee

Can't wait for Soundwave v2 with cassettes that look like a glass mosaic and are somehow more fragile than the current ones.

Has Soundwave v2 been confirmed or just speculation? I'm thinking about getting the reissue of MP-17 along with MP-15 and 16.

It's not confimred, but I imagine it's coming eventually because at some point it would look "out of place" with the new style.

I never really left, but I seem to be moving further away from the Masterpiece line as their priorities have drawn closer to the twin maxims of "Make it as complex as you need to ensure it looks as close as possible to a cartoon model sheet" and "What extra stuff do we include so people will still buy it despite a stupid-huge price tag?"
