I dying to know what was said at the top picture when they zoomed in on the foot.

Looks like we had the transformation pretty much sketched out right.

 

basically it's always trying best to keep the animation transformation sequence as close as possible while workaround using quasi fake part to accomodate the shape shifting , so yeah

Nice try Takara, but re-engineer the feet, then I will buy it.

 

Man, if MP-21 had been the same height as MP-45 in bot mode his car mode would have looked way better scaled with the other MP cars in vehicle mode. And yes, I know I'm the only one to have taken this random thought away from all this.

Basically the entire video the dude is going on about how important articulation is to him. How high poseability allows you to accurately recreate poses from the anime naturally and show off the character's personality.

He specifically calls out how poseable the feet are and how, unlike V1, he can now hold his weapon with 2 hands.

The guy is one of the project members for Bumblebee. I don't think he was the lead designer.

He also mentioned that he is a huge fan of the original cartoon.

Cool video. The stop motion is well done and cute.

Those feet are still absolutely hideous to me though.

MP-21 should have been a bit taller. Ergo his car mode would have been a bit larger. I don't really care about MP-45 but I still like to dabble in these threads... From time to time.

 

Yeah, the inside of his feet are rough, that's why I asked. Everything looked good and then the camera zoomed in on the foot. They don't bother me as bad as originally, but if someone made filler plates, to hide the inside of his feet, I'd be game.

Ah, thats where your confusing me. You're looking at it as static, bigger mp21, bigger car. Where as I'm liking at it as fluid, if there was a bigger Bee, it would be same car size just some current alteration to the transformation.

 

Aside from the squashed feet it looks great to me. I’ll get over the feet when it’s in hand.

The posability is off the charts! Love the foot articulation and how his arms/hands work. Have we figured out if he has a ball joint neck?

Also, happy to see he’s a while head larger than mp21
