Depends which store you order from.
Yeah you'll have to pay customs
I have a feeling TT is going to go chibi with MP CJ and any other Mini they release.
They know MP21 isn't going to fully mesh with these chibis. I think that's why they chibified Bee, and are releasing him as MP45.
that's why I couldn't get myself to like the MMC Cliffjumper, just can't do the chibi thing.
Kind of late on that one
MMC is semi -chibi, full chibi is a lot shorter and part of the reason there isn't enough car to cover his feet up like MP21 and the 3P ones.
I was leaning towards buying Toro, but I decided to wait to see what TT offers.
The duck feet aren't a huge deal to me. I'm just not a fan of how they angle out on Bee instead of wrapping around.
Yikes. I checked out my old Japanese distributor and they were trying to get $91, plus shipping, if you ordered by the case. They used to hit me really hard on shipping, like $10 each, probably more like $15 now, making acquisition cost about $105.
So not only would it have been cheaper to go through Japanese _retail_, I would've had to charge in the neighborhood of $140 shipped just to _break_even_ somewhere like eBay or Scamazon. Meanwhile Amazon Japan is looking like about $100 shipped. Ouch.
Interview with MP-45 designer
Google translate from Autobase Aichi:
A video titled “Transformers Masterpiece Series“ MP-45 Bumble ver. 2.0 ”Development Project Member Interview” has been posted on Takara Tomy YouTube channel
As the title says, in an interview with the developer of MP-45 Bumble 2.0, about 2 minutes.
A member of the development project that appears is Kenta Wakizawa, but I feel that I have never seen a name in this kind of interview so far.
Masterpiece's G1 line products have been developed as a team in recent years, and in the interview, etc., the developer's personal name has almost disappeared, but this time, it debuts to appear in videos So, in the future, it may be active as a representative team of G1 masterpiece development team.
In the interview, points are pursued, such as pursuing the mobility of the joints that can reproduce the animation scene, and the point that the car mode is Choro Q style while sticking to the reproduction of the car-like details.
In the movie, in addition to the developer actually demonstrating the toy, there is also a gimmick explanation using stop motion, it feels easy to understand.
Unfortunately the video if geo-blocked. Someone in Japan please take some screencaps from this video! @Gamerlingual or @onnsake?
Great to see the right shade of yellow and blue windows here
reupload for you guys
That was a loooooose prototype, but he tried to make it work . That transformation though
Whacking together some screencaps I was doing using a VPN proxy, thanks @Phamduc for the link!
He's so small compared to a person, as predicted his backpack looks a lot less offensive.
sweet panel jesus!
Sadly I can’t understand what is being told
the figure in practical video session looks miles better then static shot
I dying to know what was said at the top picture when they zoomed in on the foot.
Looks like we had the transformation pretty much sketched out right.
basically it's always trying best to keep the animation transformation sequence as close as possible while workaround using quasi fake part to accomodate the shape shifting , so yeah
Are they trying to convince people who did not preorder it to preorder it?
Nice try Takara, but re-engineer the feet, then I will buy it.
Separate names with a comma.
