It looks like the axe is hollow on the inside or on the side, now before people get angry, we never saw it from that side in the cartoon series, so it's still technically g1 accurate.
And this shot has to confirm what @Prime of Shadows was saying! We can see a gap between the hand and the nub, and we know that this prototype was sporting his axe yesterday!
I was worried about that too, but we saw it from the other side and it isn't hollow:
That would have genuinely annoyed me. We saw it from both sides in the cartoon (though mostly the side without the visible screw, true)
i said it before and i'll say it again i just want to have Prime with his gun and axe....no need for his trailer and so.....With Megs i only kept Megs and his clear weapon....all other extra's i've sold or traded off....
Absolutely loving those newer test shots of MP44. So good. Only slightly under 3 months away from release!
More photos and still not doing it for me, between the endless panel gaps and the mcfrackhuge backpack. Though I like the legs a bit more than before.
Yeah. I really want a comics sun faded version.
That would be sick. And before Megatron tries to swing his flail but prime catches it in a not and shatters it. Would’ve been epic.
Shit I’m convinced! That’s so cool.
MP-44+ will be cool to see. I may even be tempted to buy it when it’s cheap. Although I may be disappointed it doesn’t look like @chchchch’s.
Also what’s going on with these transparent parts on the arms? Like why? Seems like such an odd choice.
I think they just like to find interesting ways to interpret the flat greebles that were part of the animation model whenever possible in order to give it a bit more dimension while remaining accurate (like the translucent bits on Megatron's abs).
It would be cool if they offered that option too for people who wanted a low cost version. Maybe in the future
Yup, and also in the cartoon that area lit up, so it makes sense for it to be transparent
From Auto Berserk, it was an energy gauge.
When it came to painting up my MP-10 in cartoon colours, I discovered the arrows were also a piece of transparent plastic. So I painted the bottom of them red.
Can you imagine a box set of both figures prime and megatron? No accessories. I’d buy it in an instant. Especially if the packaging was retro.
Thats my concern. The art is so perfect, I hope Takara at least gets close to it.
I'm pretty confident we will get the classic Battle Convoy portrait since MP 36+ came with the G1 toy Megatron portrait.
Aw thanks guys But I must give tons of credit to @Digger, @RichP, and @Sam for helping me figure it out.
I would say that given the way the TT MP figures are going with more premium features and accessories that we are looking even less likely for this to ever happen.
Like a version of MP-36 with no stock + barrel or the other bits? Nope. Don't think so.
They may even keep the MP-10 mould going just to keep doing the different colours / versions... ?
Its probably why they are keeping it going. But I agreeing they're trying to establish themselves as High-end among other collectibles, I don't see discount western versions coming.
Man is Prime looking... prime. The anticipation builds with all the new pics. I was gonna sell my MP-10 but I think that I might keep him too.
Yup. Thst seems to be TTs strategy moving foward. I really applaud their bold decision. Good luck TT!
I think it’s awesome that these parts are transparent. Imagine the effect of light on it. It will look like it lights up just like in that episode. So good!
Prime has the tri-force!
It represents his three components.
