This was a great update.

MP-44 looks absolutely amazing, Love the box art, literally couldn't be more excited.

I do think that TT need someone else posing this figure at shows though  

Also, what do people think of the front hip skirts? Looks a bit strange when legs are lifted up and would probably prefer normal hip skirts, but thats just nitpicking I guess.

 

Seems like a pretty smart workaround to navigate the articulation for the legs to kick up without clashing. Though a tad concern if that’s really gonna be paint instead of yellow plastic , if the paint chipping is any indicator .

 

I thought I would love it but I think I just like it. Some of those flaps can be irritating!

A new approach is good though and it definitely looks neat

Dang this looks good! I gotta admit I was considering cancelling due to budgetary constraints but this persuaded me to hold out. He just looks fantastic!

 

Ive kinda decided to call time on my TF collecting in 2019. As such, MP 44 will be the last transformer I will have the great honor of buying.. Its the pinnacle of any collection. A good way to end my collecting journey imho. Not being overly dramatic and all but its a great way to finish any toy hoarder's check box. I am most likely going to plump down for 2 copies of this highly anticipated marvel of toy engineering ever made by Takara and best incarnation of Optimus Prime, period.

 

Why, lack of passion, crazy prices, different priorities.... why, I'm just curious?

 

Make sure to have mp36 before quitting my friend !
For me , I will wait til mp45, hound , mirage , jazz, devastator and new starscream to come out then I can rest

 

Haha. He's not on my list of top 10 TFs to buy brfore I quit. Sorry. The transformation for MP 36 alone scares me to no end! Lmao.

Is Spike in the truck or Roller? He’s not with the other accessories.

Is it just me or does the box seem a bit smaller than the MP-10 box? I’m hoping that the Takara boxes get a little smaller like some of the third party companies are doing. I keep all my boxes and it’s becoming a space issue with almost 50 MP figures released plus all the repaints. They most likely want to keep them consistent with the previous releases for those that display the boxes.

It was TCracker’s “dying wish” to get a chance to play, fiddle and take photos of the figure.

Sadly, he didn’t get a chance and passed away slightly more than a week ago.
