Yeah especially with the most popular character...likely to be multiple runs.

    Jump aboard!

More seriously, preordering it also lets you putting your hand on it earlier. So depends if you can wait or not. I am not enough patient, so could not wait.

Not only that, but snagging Prime that is $450 for $312 shipped, pre-ordering is a great benefit that may not be there during second and third runs.

If you gus think a $450 price is bad just wait until you see the Ebay prices climb once he’s sold out everywhere. During times when MP-10 was sold out I saw his price climb as high as $600 on there.

He’ll hopefully be reissued by Takara often enough for those who want to snag him at pre-order prices.

Exactly. I get that some people are on the fence but for a figure like this, I think you are heavily risking sell-outs with retailers and super price gouging on eBay. It’s best to make up your mind now or play a wild and maddening guessing game later.

Some may even preorder 10 of him to make money with it!

So how much was MP10 MSRP? So we can take a guess at how much this will be on eBay once it’s sold out everywhere!

MP-10 was ¥22,000 vs MP-44’s ¥50,000, BUT most people at the time didn’t know about Japanese online stores with discounts, and at the time Amazon Japan wasn’t shipping outside Japan.

Most people paid around $250 for MP-10, unless they went with the $100 Hasbro version (unsurprisingly close to the price of later MP-10 reissues with a 30% discount).

I paid €230 for the November 2013 Hasbro Asia reissue of MP-10 from Kapow Toys, then later I paid €109 for his July 2015 Takara reissue (shipping extra) from Anime Export.

So basically I wouldn’t be surprised to see MP-44 reach $1000 on Ebay.

Yup. I paid $250 (plus shipping, mind you) for MP-10 from BBTS back in the day he was first released (I remember the bitching form MP-09 $200 price tag before that, lol). That was what? 2011?

Basically, I'm getting a better version of Prime in every single imaginable way for an additional $50 and after 8 long years.

Not the deal breaker some make it out to be, IMO.

It's easy to save $50 in 8 years.

With all these photos, I am concerned about one thing.

Lack of elbow articulation. I really hope it can go for more than 100 degrees. With half the photos, it looks like there is room for deeper elbow bends but with the other half, the bicep looks to be in the way.

How could we now when something is a backpack and not his "back"? They don't have human proportions, despite being "humanoids"

I thought about ordering three with the AJ discount so one would equate to being free after Factoring in the regular price of $450. Figured two would be the sweet quantity though. I bought Hasbro Prime (x2) for $150 after his third release.

That’s pretty much how I see it.

It’s almost double the price. You’re comparing what you paid a North American retailer to what you are paying a Japanese retailer with a discounted price. If you were someone who ordered MP-10 from HLJ back in the day you paid less than $250. A fair comparison is $250 vs $450 from BBTS or 22,000 yen vs 50,000 yen in Japan.

I’m amazed at how the fandom has changed in 10 years. It’s gone from people complaining about $1 price hikes on deluxe figures to arguing about how $330 for a “leader” class sized figure is a great deal.

Does anything think that this will be milked into many repaints after the recent reveal of the LeBron Prime in the other thread?
