No matter how many times you post pictures, Takara... the backpack's still gonna be godawful and his arms're still weedy.
I REALLY wish the designers stopped the cartoon accuracy aesthetic... but that's just me. I mean, there's some times where screen accuracy can be a great thing (like with the Movie Masterpiece figures where those designs have been very difficult to replicate in plastic) but this is the worst kind of screen accuracy, where the figure itsself and its looks are compromised because of the slavishness to the animation model.

Damn. I dream of these poses. These pictures only cement further my loyalty to this model of Optimus Prime. All that's really left is a whole lot of patience, pro reviews, user reviews then quality complaints before any trigger is actually pulled on this one. MP44 does have my attention though.

 

On the flip side.....

Keep posting those pics Takara, the toon accuracy is incredible and something I've wanted ever since I saw Prime fighting Megatron atop the dam and was gripped. You even managed to make the backpack look screen accurate in size and style whist packing in crazy articulation.

It's a dream come true. Keep those slavish cartoon designs a'rolling! These are golden times.

 

Oh god, that hilariously basic and unpainted truck mode in favor of "muh 100% cartoon accuracy". So this is what 440 bucks of Transformers gets you nowadays, eh?

In my case, shipping (Airmail Registered) is 8,450 JPY which is steep but still a better deal than Amazon JP will be since I asked them to declare it as 7000 yen.

in my case it comes down to 39550 yen total (6150 yen shipping - i even toyed for a moment to go for the slow boat shipping but the difference was more or less 20 € all said and done, so i choosed airmail over a three months shipping across the ocean ...). it's 10000 yen less than my AJ preorder (all going in stupid taxes and custom fees ...).
i confess i feel the sting ...

Hey all I have a question how do I place my order on Amazon Japan? I went to pre order and when I get to check out process. I don\'t have the option under Prefectures:  for USA, it all seems to be in Japan. Also I can\'t even put my zip code as they have a different format. That having been said how the heck are you guys ordering from Amazon Japan? Sorry for the noob question... I just always do all my shopping on ebay. But in this case I want to pre order, but I don\'t wanna pay US seller prices. I was also hoping to place the order now and pay later.

In his/my defense, the last few posts has been over 400 in less than 20 hours...

I skip quite alot these days.  

Wish I could just follow a select few of you (you included, of course) just to keep up on the jist of things and get caught up quicker.

I'm still searching for actual pricing via AE and the likes throughout these posts and feel the need to quit and play COD zombies instead, imagining every zombie as one of the non-important posts here as a screenname.

Can you clue a brotha in on AE preorder costs? I got another 14 hour run in my rig in 5 hours. Apologizes for not giving a shit about 400 posts I can't afford the time to scroll through for info that might exist between all the other BS. Gnyte folks.

 

Pulled the trigger on AE. £255 and probably an extra £30 odd for shipping once its in.

Its a weird feeling. I stand by the fact that this is a ridiculous price on face value. But my favourite saying is: If what you want is non-negotiable then the price you pay is irrelevant.

Also at 30% of I suppose its an investment. Should I choose to get rid of it, especially if an improved ko comes along, I can sell it at a profit (or close to what I paid at least) to someone who prefers official only.

Either way, really looking forward to August.

None of the MPs make a good investment. I suppose there are brief windows where a desperate buyer might spend more than retail, but for the most part, they've all been reissued plenty of times and are readily available at retail or below.
