Wow, it looks horrendous. MP-10 will forever be the best.

Nope, I still don't like it. Slightly-too-long arms aside, I think MP-10 still has better proportions.
Also, did we really need another trailer to drive up the price? I like the G1 Optimus Prime trailer but we've had so many of them over the years at this point. Surely most people have at least one by now.

Y'all mind if I wait on a Hasbro release to see if they add English voice clips and lower the price a tad? The TRU MP-10 (goddamn, we've come a long way) was ~$120 then, I'd hope it'd be about the same now or maybe $20 higher if it's gonna be the same size.

I’d say slim to none. Nothing like that was done for the previous MP Megatron and Hasbro sold versions of all other MPs from that era. If ever a full-on G2 tank Megatron is made, that’s likely your only hope for a Hasbro release.

Am I the only one who is kinda bummed at how few common features these new MPs share between their vehicle and robot modes?

Sure, the older versions of MP Prime had separate grills for truck and bot, but nowadays the entire robot mode is a cheat. Look at Sunstreaker. The only part of his robot mode that comes from the car is his feet.

I get it....it's the cost of doing business when you go for toon accuracy and have to pry vastly different proportions out of the individual modes. But it definitely takes something away from the transformation when it no longer seems grounded in a real-world physical process.

Of course you don't like it, there isn't a single figure you've liked in the past three years (that I've seen you comment on) ;)

Also, was not having a trailer really an option? I don't need it, but for new fans who don't own a MP prime, it's a must.

Probably be hard pressed for an American release with TRU going out of business. Most likely company to release would be Amazon. I don’t think Walmart has sold a masterpiece since the blood bath they took on MP Skywarp.

Don't feel the need to drop $250 on this considering it's not much better (if at all) than MP-10. Too bad we didn't get a Jazz reveal.

I'm definitely good with that. The only thing left now is official color stock photos with pricing and release date.

There are many, many, MANY figures I've liked in just the past year alone, thank you very much. I've even stated as much in several threads. Not my problem you haven't seen those comments. That people get upset because some people don't like some things is ridiculous. It's one thing if they harp on about the same thing all the time, but this isn't that.
However, unlike some of the braindead halfwits around here, I don't just fawn over everything I see - I actually critique everything, including the stuff I love, because anything and everything can always be improved upon. Since perfection doesn't truly exist, I believe we should keep striding for improvements, and undying, unconditional praise never achieves that. In fact, it often causes the opposite to occur.

Also, the trailer jacks up the price significantly, and plenty of them are readily available. Those of us who don't need another one won't get an option to buy it without the trailer any time soon, which makes it unnecessarily more expensive. So much for options.

Man that is definitely not my cup of tea but good for those who are cartoon accuracy enthusiasts. I really don't like the proportions or the paneling.

Thanks for this. I think it's perfect. All this stuff couldn't come at a worse time. MP 41, MP 43 (or 44) now this. I just bought a house and closing is next week. My wife is going to slit my fucking throat if I spend another 900 on Transformers.

Looks alright I guess. Not exactly blown away on first glance, but perhaps naively I expected official prototype pictures as part of the reveal. I assume we will get some at some point in the next few weeks.

Sure it will be a good looking Prime come final release so ain’t sweating anything.

That other 3p prime looks alright as well, like a custom built mp10.

Nothing wrong with having options for your Optimus...

...hmmm, what exactly would be the optimal amount of optional Optimi?

As a realtor, you don't know how funny I find this comment. I'm there with ya bro. You should see my collection. Not as big as back in the day, but very G1 and movie verse so far. And expensive. I'm getting this prime. MP10 is great and all. But this new version..3rd time was definitely the charm.

Cool for those who like it and need yet another MP Optimus but personally I think it looks awful.
