I originally cringed at the thought of updating MP-10. I love that figure. But this looks awesome.

I love how great the alt mode looks. So happy to see TT really valuing vehicle accuracy again.

And it's really hard to argue with how much better proportioned his bot mode is. And I think we'll all be pretty happy with is articulation and (likely) a great head sculpt.

MS-01's feet and thighs on 35th Anniv. Prime would be perfect.

If the legs were longer, I’d have replaced MP-10 with this in a heartbeat...before we knew about v3. Options are still good though.

I'm not sure we can say that any version of Optimus Prime is more cartoon accurate than the others.

You know why? The animation was so inconsistent that there were times when MP-01, MP-10, and this newest version all looked like the most cartoon accurate.

It depends on which model from which episode you happen to be looking at.

I think my biggest issue is that the calves look a little thick depth-wise, but it could be just the angle of the photos. Fix that, and I'll happily take a Crayola Convoy repaint.

This thing looks like shit right?? I’m a total TT whore when they come correct, but cmon this thing is prolly the biggest nut punch by a mile since I started collecting MPs in ‘13 ... this is nothing like Tracks or Wheeljack, just my two cents

I think its probably fair for everyone to reserve judgement until we see proper photos, I'm not liking the robot mode yet but that may change in the future with detailed full colour pics.

That’s kinda the point. Tracks and wheeljack were from a different time. Since ironhide cartoon accuracy has been the name of the game. (Shades of it were present with bee Magnus and tracks, but the molds were clearly designed with the old philosophy in mind)

I personally don't see that. I think v2 has good proportions in general but the v3 legs look way too long in that pic.

Not sure that can be fixed without exposing the wheels, right?

Now the only thing left is does it have the Matrix in his chest and does the vehicle accommodate the figures? Neither is a deal breaker but I would think the Matrix is a sure for thing based on history of the Primes.

Definitely has the matrix - we could see the door behind the window in the magazine glimpse of the chest.

I get the feeling that the vehicle wont be able to accommodate figures because the bot-mode chest appears to be taking up space behind the front of the truck.

It'll definitely have a Matrix, though. As Liam says, it has a movie-accurate Matrix chamber.

The only things i can "complain" so far it's the not-so clean backpack, and how thin it's the gun, but just that.

I am underwhelmed. The thighs are also too thin compared to the shins. So So Prime.

I'm really not worried about his proportions - about any of him looking too thin and wimpy. No need to try 'correcting' the distorted pics - remember we already have an engineering drawing of his torso...

... and it looks perfect! I left my estimated diaper on as it seems my guess was just about spot on for width and height. Just imagine those long legs and the rest on this and it's awesome. Cant wait for better pics!

Still, cant say I'm surprised at all the freaking out and 'this is garbage' based on the first terrible pics! Wouldn't be TFW2005 without it! :)
